Have you read MAD COWBOY by Howard Lyman?!

Question: Have you read MAD COWBOY by Howard Lyman!?
I just saw it was on Amazon for only $3!.99 and I've heard it was an excellent book about the use of chemicals in agriculture after the author developed a spinal tumor that nearly paralyzed him!. Now a vegetarian, he blasts through the propaganda of beef and dairy interests -- and the government agencies that protect them -- to expose an animal-based diet as the primary cause of cancer, heart disease, and obesity in this country!. He warns that the livestock industry is repeating the mistakes that led to Mad Cow disease in England while simultaneously causing serious damage to the environment!.

That seems like an awful good price for a book that might be handy to keep a few extra copies of on hand so you can pas them along to people you think might be open to learning the truth about those kinds of things!.

Answers:
Yes! You should get the book! It's great to get the perspective of someone who was actually in the destructive business that he now warns about!.

It's a fairly quick read to, but it's enjoyable and informative!. That's a great price for the book, but if you don't wanna wait for the shipping go down to your library and see if they have it!. Mine did!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

Yes, I have, and his follow-up "No More Bull!." It's been a while since I've read it, but you should absolutely get this book!. At $3!.99, it's a steal! Mr!. Lyman is a former rancher, and let's just say he knows whereof he speaks!. He had a change of heart after the spinal tumor!. I've also met him a couple of times, and he completely shatters the myth of the skinny, weak, pale vegan!.

And if you think you can pass copies along to other people and that they would be receptive, yes, get multiple copies!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Yes, among others!. If you plan on getting several copies then that seems to be the way to go (most of the other veg*n related books cost about $15)!. It's probably one of the better veg*n books I've read!. If you're unsure just order one copy, read it, and if you like it order more (you will lose about $5 in shipping that way though)!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Yup, read it!. Good book to pass along because he's really relatable!. I mean, I love John Robbins, but he would come across as very "touchy-feely" to some people, making him easy to dismiss!. Howard Lyman is more of an everyman kind of guy!. His second book, "No More Bull": is good, too!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
