Does anything think PETA crossed the line?!
They wanted to run an ad comparing the victim of the Manitoba bus murder to animals slaughtered for meat!. They planned to run it in the victim's hometown paper, on the day of his funeral!.
Do any vegetarians find this reprehensiblele!? Do acts like this do anything to undermine PETA's credibility among vegetarians!?
Thanks for answering!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

PETA has crossed and has been staying waaaaaaaaaaaaay over the other side of the decency line for quite some time !.!.
Sadly they are taking other people with them!.!.
Impropriety has nothing to do with vegetarianism!. Reprehensible behaviour is (or should be) condemend by all!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I think PETA crossed a lot of lines a long time ago, which is why I have never supported them!. But this ad was vile and disgusting!. They think that any means that draws attention to the cause is justified, but they forget that compassion for animals must extend to human animals, too!. That poor family doesn't deserve to be mocked and exploited to draw attention to factory farming!. The only buzz I have heard about this ad is negative and I highly doubt that it's even fulfilling the purpose PETA states for it, which is to drive people to their website, where they will then read about factory farming, battery cages, etc!. Rather, I think people are going to their website to complain and then leaving!. I know a group of vegans who are considering forming an anti-PETA group!. There are so many other AR organizations that are not as high profile, but also don't stoop to such disgusting levels, and veg*ns should consider supporting those groups (Compassion Over Killing and Farm Sanctuary, for example) instead!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
I think PETA has been crossing the line for awhile!. Some of their ads are tasteless and alienating!. This Manitoba bus murder is just the latest!. PETA isn't winning friends and influencing people at this point; they're turning them off!. It's reprehensible to manipulate an unrelated tragedy to push a political agenda!.!.!. PETA is showing no respect for the victim and his family in this situation!.
Additionally, the argument that they make is logically unsound!. Ugh!. Shame on them!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

In my experience, including reading this forum, Peta has very limited support or credibility among vegetarians and vegans!. There were vegetarians and vegans long before there was Peta and it's a mistake to think that Peta is somehow the voice of veg*ns!.
'Reprehensible' is an understatement!. Peta's actions in attempting to exploit this poor man's violent and unimaginable murder have been opportunist, tasteless, offensive and shameless - a new low even for Peta!.
I'm vegan to minimise my contribution to animal suffering and exploitation; but I value human life way over animal life!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I'm not PETA neither against PETA!. But i think we should thank for the efford they had put to make everyone know here!. Eye opener, for good or bad, everyone is talking about PETA!.
PETA is a public funded non-profitable organization operated by people like you and me!. Everyone is welcome to make changes, improve, or at least contribute some ideas!. If you have any better video footages or articles, could send to them!. Yes, this is true!.
PETA needs intelligent people like you!Www@FoodAQ@Com

as a vegetarian, and PETA supporter, even i think this has crossed the line!.
Perhaps if it were a not so recent tragedy, it wouldn't be so bad!. imo, the fact they're running it on the day of his funeral is despicable!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I'm vegan and PETA pisses me off!. The crimes against humans are much more atrocious and often even more easily preventable, but they squander time and money on attempting to appeal to people who don't care and wouldn't take them seriously if they did!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
I love animals to a somewhat extreme amount, but no offense they don't compare to a human life!.That's disrespecting someone who died an extremely tragic death!. Www@FoodAQ@Com
Everything PETA does crosses the line!. When I tell people I'm vegan most of them think I support PETA and it's disgusting!. Those people are insane!Www@FoodAQ@Com
I think it's awful to use a tragedy like that to push an unrelated political agenda!. But I'm not a vegetarian, and I have been annoyed with PETA before!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
I've long thought that PETA was over the top; this only confirms my feelings!. They not only crossed the line, they obliterated it completely!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
PETA never had much credibility to begin with!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Did PETA do or say something!? Then they crossed the line of decency!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
It is reprehensible but it is the very essense of PETAs thinking!. Www@FoodAQ@Com
I don't think it has had much credibility with anyone for a long time!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
