Becoming a vegetarian!

Question: Becoming a vegetarian
Heyy
I really want to become a vegetarian!. I am 15, and I really dont like eating animals!. I also want to lose some weight!. Is there anything I should know when trying to become a vegetarian!. Is there any supplements I should take, or any special foods to eat, etc!.

Thanks!!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
you definitely want to make sure you aren't just replacing meat with junk food!. if you go to s place like McDonald's, don't just order fries, order maybe a salad, or something healthy!.

also, make sure you are eating a plant based diet, try to stay away from fats and processed foods!. this should help with yur weight

as for the supplements, you might want to start taking a B12 pill, because this only comes from animal productsWww@FoodAQ@Com

It can never hurt to take a multi-vitamin!. Just make sure the vitamin itself is gelatin-free, or else it is not vegetarian!. There are many organic, all natural, vegetarian multi-vitamins available at drug stores!.

no need for supplements!. dont think veg!.food is low in health!. u will do much better than what u did with non!.veg!. food!. u go on eating veg!.food and enjoy life better!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

The only supplement that vegetarians should have to take is B12!. Most people eat meat, dairy AND fortified cereals yet still have a B12 status that is lower than recommended!.

Everything else is found easily in plant foods!. Bread, pasta, cereal, rice, beans, peas, lentils, nuts, seeds, fruits and veggies are all that you would need!.
