Decided to go vegetarian. now what?!
OK, so ive been thinking about vegetarian for awhile now!.!.!. and its gotten to the point where now when i try to ea meat i like gag!. so ive decided to make the leap! im gonna still eat milk and eggs (lacto ovo i think!?) so i know what to do for breakfasts still, but as far as lucnches go i know a bit of hat to do but dinner- im lost
now, im not oing to go vegetarian right away, im learning and easing into it for now!.
i would like dinner recipes that are affrdable, freeze well and can be made in large-ish or small batches, depending on how much i want!. now, this will be a tricky thing because along with what ive already stated i cannot eat spicy food, avacaos, or mushrooms!.
well, i thank you sooo much in advaced and have fun answering!=]Www@FoodAQ@Com

Meat substitutes come to rescue a person just like you!. At WalMart the best your going to find is Morning Star Farms and Boca both tasty, Boca being a little cheaper but Morning Star Farms taste better!. If you live near an Adventist Book Center you can buy vegetarian foods from Worthington or LomaLinda, and Worthington makes the better variety!. Still you can do other things other than just meat substitues!. You can make cottage cheese loaf or grapenut loaf (online recipies go to Yahoo search for the cottage cheese loaf), you can use all kinds of nuts!. Or you can simply put more vegies, more rice and more beans on your plate!. You are not limited to the produce section of the store either!.
Best of luck!.

you should get those fake meat kinds of foods (chickenless nuggets, corn dogs, burgers, and lots of other stuff)!.!.!. they taste so good :] my best friend is vegetarian, and im not, but i still love eating at her house!. im pretty sure the brand is Morning Star, and you can find it (and lots of other veg stuff) at Trader Joe's!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Have you ever tried tofu!?
Everyone disses the 'fu, but honestly, it's not that bad!. Tofu more or less tastes like whatever you cook it with, so you could actually use that as a meat substitute in your dinners!. Just season it as you would chicken, or burgers, or whatnot, and your diet really won't change that much!.
At least that's what I did when I went veggie for a year!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

My favorite is vegetarian lasagna!. Get a box of Barilla lasagna noodles, the no boil kind!. Use the directions on the box, it's on the back!. Instead of the hamburger, use Morning Star Farms meal starters "beef" crumble!. It tastes great! The best lasagna recipe I've come across! It freezes well too, put it in a Tupperware, Gladware, or whatever you have that seals good and freeze it!. Just a hint of advice, if you do plan on freezing it, buy an extra jar of pasta sauce and use a little more than the recipe calls for, otherwise when it freezes, it absorbs the sauce and you'll end up with dry lasagna when you reheat it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
