For me, any ripe apple is good!.

But my wife prefers Granny Smith, Gala or McIntosh!. There are better varieties but hard to find in Asia!. I have yet to see a Cortland apple here!.!.

they are expensive because I believe they are not in season ( usually ranging from September to June) now!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I normally get Braeburn or Fuji apples!. They taste really good, but I really like all apples!. I have had the apple you are describing, but I cannot remember the name!. Sorry! I really enjoy those apples though!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

Gravensteins!. Available only for a month or so in August and September, because they don't keep well!. I have the first of the season in my fruit bowl right now!. Terrific!Www@FoodAQ@Com

I've found that any organic apple has a softer and more flavorful peel!. Probably because the bug spray causes the peel to be thick and nasty!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Crispin, Honeycrisp, FujiWww@FoodAQ@Com
