This is my favorite way to cook kale!.
4 cups firmly-packed kale
1 Tbsp!. extra virgin olive oil
1 tsp!. good-quality sea salt
garlic to taste (optional - I like fresh - 1 or 2 cloves depending on size)
chopped onion (optional - I like alot of onion - you may not)
Wash and trim the kale: Peel off the tough stems by folding the kale leaves in half like a book and stripping the stems off!. Add extra virgin olive oil, garlic, and onion and saute!. Add kale!. Saute about 7 to 10 minutes until kale starts to turn brown and becomes paper thin and brittle!. Sprinkle with sea salt!. Serve immediately!.

I like to rip it into chip size pieces and toss it with oil (like olive oil ) and sprinkle salt on it (or vinegar and salt, think salt and vinegar chips)
***or any flavorings you like (think of chips),
- make sure that the kale is coated but not soaked!.
- spread over a baking sheet and bake at 375 degrees for at about 10 minutes, until it's crispy!.
OR
*juice it
*put it raw in salad
*saute it in butter until it's wilted and top with parmesan cheese!.
also, avoid the thick stemsWww@FoodAQ@Com

heat a little bit of oil in a pot!. put the kale in and cook for a few seconds!. then put in some water!. not much like a couple of tablespoons!. then cover it and let it steam!. keep an eye on it if it runs out of water add more!. you don't want too much or too little water!. you want enough that most will evaporate when you are done cooking!. but you can always drain so its no big deal!. but you are trying to avoid boiling the kale!. be sure to take off the lid and stir occasionallyWww@FoodAQ@Com
You can boil it, saute it, or braise it!. Since you're a cooking novice, try boiling first!. Let it go for 5 minutes and try it!. If it isn't tender enough to suit your taste, let it go another 5 minutes and so forth till you find it suits you!. Eat it with a little salt, butter, and (if you wish) pepper!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Wash it thoroughly and pick the leafy part from the stem part (ribs)!.
In a good sized pan saute onions and garlic over medium heat until clear!. Add about 1/2 teaspoon of vinegar!. Stir in kale until wet!. Cover!. Simmer until wilted, about 3-5 minutes!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

And!.!. to add to the former answer you might just add about a teaspoon of sugar to the water to eliminate any bitter taste!. You would do the same to mustard greens or turnip greens!. It's wonderful!Www@FoodAQ@Com
my grandma boils it!. she takes off the stems, and puts it in boiling water!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
