Saag Paneer ROCKS! but there are plenty of other dishes!. The suggestion about trying the cuisines of other regions of India is a good one; but personally, I prefer Northern Indian food!. Try Paneer Matar (I heard an Indian friend of mine pronounce it 'mutter punny'), Aloo Saag, with nan, onion kulcha, papadum !.!.!. and the more Southern items: pakora, samosas, and masala dosa, all with Basmati rice, of course A few spoonfuls of lemon pickle, mango chutney and a few Kingfisher beers and LIFE IS GOOD !Www@FoodAQ@Com

So far, all of the suggestions are from north Indian cuisine!. Not that there's anything wrong with it, but why not try south Indian cuisine for a change!. It's quite different!. Try it!. My favorite is vadai - these are savory donut type things made with lentils and rice but they are vegan!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

we went to a vegetarian restaurant in upton park called anitias, i think or nitas,on green street between plashet grove and the romford road and we had a thali but before it we had kassava chips, i thought they were great, all the food was really good but when i order a take away for delivery i always get bindi bhaji and mushroom bhaji!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

For a change try Karela(Bitter Gourd), its a green vegetable that has a bitter taste!. Its cooked will onions and the usual spices for a curry!.
