Are you vegan? and why?!

Question: Are you vegan!? and why!?
Answers:
Yes!. Coz I want to be called a vegan!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I'm vegan because animals think and feel!. They experience the world from a very unique viewpoint - their own!. They rear their children, communicate with one another, they feel pain, happiness and sorrow!. I can't say this for sure about the smallest of our kingdom, but I'll give them the benefit of the doubt, anyway!. One thing for sure is that we are all conscious beings, and all deserve consideration and respect!. That's why I don't eat anything that comes from an animal other than a human, because they're non-consentful, exploited and abused creatures who'd rather be anywhere but the farm!. I really try not to cause suffering to humans with poor conditions and child labour, hence I buy organic always and fair-trade when I can, and never buy new clothes that aren't made of organic and fair-trade cotton and hardly ever buy anything else new!.

That's the main reason, but my veganism also helps the planet, I'm making 1!.5 tonnes less of carbon emissions each year, and there are loads of other good effects, which you can look up quite easily!. It's a lot better for my health, as well!. I feel so full of stamina and energy since I've become vegan!. When your body is a living graveyard of animals, how can you expect to be full of life!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

I am vegan since seeing the kill floor in the film Fast Food Nation!.

I became vegetarian at age 11 and have struggled with the ethics of it!.

Don't forget, vegetarians, that without the dairy industry there would be no veal, veal is only a by-product of the dairy industry!.

Now I want no part of the meat industry and have given away all my leather, wool and anything suspect!.

I feel much better living a vegan life as I no longer feel responsible for the deaths and sad lives of those poor animals!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I have been vegan and I enjoyed it but I don't think it's feasible as a lifestyle!. It's almost impossible to get lunch at work - suppose I could live on houmous but I like food too much!.
I was vegetarian for eight years and then gave up!.!.!. I started eating a lot of rubbish like sausages, steak and burgers!.
Now I'm following a healthy pescetarian diet which suits my lifestyle well!. I don't have ethical reasons, I just feel that this is the best way for me to be healthy within the constraints of my busy lifestyle and tastes - in other words, I don't have time to be vegan and the food isn't as nice!!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Vegetarian - I might be considered vegan, but I may have eaten eggs in pasta at restaurants, and I ate honey last week (I didn't know, ok) and I have accidentally eaten dairy before (my mum gave me something with butter oil)!. And my school uniform (I live in Australia) is made out of wool!.
So I guess I'm a vegetarian who eats minimal amount of animal products!.
I try to avoid animal products because of ethical reasons - I don't want to support the killing of animals!.
Lately it's been a bit hard - I really wish I could go buy a muffin instead of having to make them - I did buy some fruit cake (yes its vegan) but it just wasn't the same!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

yes because i had decided to be buddhist i love the environment and animals and research taught me that people dont need any resources from animals let alone how animals still suffer in dairy farms and egg farms and its not right and you dont need anything from animals to survive because its actually harsh on your stomach in order to survive and its not really that different from a vegetarian lifestyle if anything its the true meaning of the word vegetarian and im healthy just fine and my concious is clear that i sustain on no animal products and im happier than ever and hope to be one for the rest of my life and support mother nature and try to save her as much as i can while i am here Www@FoodAQ@Com

Yes!. I think man abuses everything he touches the land, the air ,the water, the animals, Even if we are supposed to eat meat (which I don't believe) the horrendous treatment of them is a complete turn off for me!. Not to mention that they don't receive any health care when they are sick or injured!. as long as they are breathing they will be dragged to the slaughter!. I don't want to eat something that is sick already!. I have dog and in some countries dogs and cats are raised for their fur!. bears have a bar ran through the bridge of their nose that forces them to stand in a upright position!. man claims that this is called a dancing bear!. when have you ever seen a bear dance!? and if they did dance it certainly isn't for our enjoyment!. Oh the other reason is It is healthier to be a vegan!. it doesn't hurt anyone!. They keep cows pregnant forcefully to produce milk too!. try compassionatecooks!.com for more info!. it on itunes too under podcast!. I could go on and on but you get the picture I hope!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

No, I am vegetarian!. I agree that the egg/milk industry contributes to the meat industry, but this is only because meat is eaten by people!. I mean, if there was no market at all for veal/chicken, we would have the milk and eggs without killing the animals, because who would gain by killing them!? Www@FoodAQ@Com

Yes!. One reason is health!. High cholesterol runs in my family and cholesterol is only found in meat, eggs, and dairy products!. So veganism is a great way for me to stay healthy!.

Another main reason is the cruelty in the meat, egg, and dairy industries!. I've seen footage of what goes on in these industries and I just don't want to support it!. I'd never cram 10 hens into a cage so tiny that they couldn't even flap their wings!. I just don't want to pay companies to do things that I couldn't participate in or even watch!.

I am vegetarian and do not consume egg and milk!.
But occasionally drink Milo and eat cake!.

So maybe I am 99% vegan!.

Reason is for healthy and don't want to kill animal for foods!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

No, just a semi lacto-ovo vegetarian!.

I like cheese too much and being lacto-ovo gives me more choices!.
May become vegan once I am able to spend more time and money on food/cooking!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

http://indian-veg-food!.blogspot!.comWww@FoodAQ@Com

yes!.!.!.!.!.cause i want to be!Www@FoodAQ@Com

no because I think that everything was put on this earth to work together!. You shouldn't seperate yourself that much from nature!. You should live without killing or causing harm but eating dairy doesn't have to cause harm!. I believe in being a vegetarian but I also think you shouldn't segregate yourself from everything around you!. That's what vegans do!. Www@FoodAQ@Com
