Answers:
if you can eat dairy, just melt 2 tablespoons butter in a skillet, mix in 2 tablespoons flour, then 2 cups milk!. whisk to break up lumps, cook over medium heat till boiling, reduce to simmer and cook 2 more minutes, salt and pepper to taste!. you could put some veggie breakfast sausage in it if you want!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I agree with the first lady but I have used TVP and soy milk, lots of black pepper, the biscuits I use unbleached flour with a dose of potato starch and veg shortening!.

I fry some finely chopped onions in some veg oil add the TVP and toast with the browned onions (this for colour and flavour), then I add a tin of veggie broth and bring to a simmer and cook for 15 minutes, add a bit of Japanese soy sauce, thicken with a cornstarch slurry and off the heat thin with the soya milk, as boiling will split it!.

The biscuits are simple sift the 2 flours (2 cups Ub flour and 1/2 cup potato or rice flour), add your fat (1/2 cup or 2" off a block of Crisco), salt (1/2 tsp), baking powder (2 tsp), a dash of sugar (1/4 tsp) and break up the fat like making pie crust, add either milk, water or soya milk to dampen, bring together, and turn out on a flour board, cover and let rest for 10 minutes so the flour absorbs the liquids, cut the biscuits and bake at 375 for 10-15 minute depending on the size, re warm the gravy, I just set it over the oven vent and stir it when I see it bubbling, once the biscuits are ready, split ladle the gravy over and serve, the gravy goes great with grits too!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Make some biscuits!. Cover and set aside in a warm oven!.

Brown some "Gimmie Lean" soy sausage in Earth Balance vegan spread!. Salt and pepper it!. Stir in some flour until dissolved!. Add enough soy milk to cover!. Stir til thickened!.
Split your biscuit, top with "soysage" and gravy!. Enjoy!. Www@FoodAQ@Com
