Plants do not have a central nervous system!. If they had pain receptors, their would be no network to receive the electric impulses that give the perception of pain!.

This is irrelevant because eating meat kills more plants than eating the plants directly!. A cow eats thousands of plants every day of its life before it reaches slaughter weight!. Every other animal eats countless plants or grains for plants before it is killed when that grain could be fed to people or the land could have been used to grow human grade foods!.

LOL @ Chuckbird!. Dude, If you're going to call me out, you might as well use what brain you have left to gauge whether you have an actual argument or not!.

The reason there are so many cattle is the fact that they artificially inseminate the cows!. If we stopped breeding them just for the sake of meat, hundreds of thousands of births would never take place each year!. Do you have any clue what a feedlot is!? Let's think before we respond, ok!? They use land just to grow millions of tons of grain, then they feed it to cattle that are stuck in feedlots and chickens that are crammed into broiler houses because it takes less space and they gain weight faster!. Oh, but wait, cattle are supposed to eat grass, not grain!. That's why we have to feed them antibiotics!. The grain raises the acidity of their rumen and promotes growth of dangerous bacteria that can live in those conditions!.

LOL, keep ranting like a moaning psychopath!. You make for a good laugh!. What's the matter with you!? Did your daddy not love you when you were a dirty snot-nosed little punk!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

no!. They do not have nerve cells and so no feelings in the sense that humans have feelings, or no feelings in any sense that a human could possibly imagine!. Still, if you're concerned about the plants, you can become a fructarian, they only eat the fruits of plants!.

No they don't!. And if they do, science has not been able to prove it yet!.

They may have nervous systems and pain receptors that unfortunately (for them), human science does not recognize as such!. Remember that some aninmals have organs or tissue that science has not been able to determine the purpose or function!. But again, the consensus now among scientific circles is no, they don't feel pain!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Apprantly broccoli has a central nervous system, but i don't think their is any evidence to support that!. And even if it does have some form of a central nervous system, it would definetly need a brain to feel pain or care that it's feling pain and broccoli defintly don't have a brain, which is part of the CNS anyway!. so basically i've just rubbished what I said, but i just thought i should mention that broccoli are suppose to be the vegetable that can feel pain!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

No, they don't!. If I need to explain it, you probably wouldn't understand but I'll try anyways!. They have no brain/processing unit, therefore don't have the capacity to "feel" anything since "feeling" is a sensory quality that requires a brain to decipher and react to stimuli on a "feeling" basis!. Otherwise, any reaction a plant has is simply chemical and no different than the reaction baking soda has when in contact with vinegar!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

CHUCKBIRD, if humans did not eat meat, we would not BREED as many cows to EAT so many plants! If there was no market for breeding the cows, then there would not be as many!. It has nothing to do with KILLING the cows, it's BREEDING them!.
oh yeah and nope, no central nervous system or brain!. i've heard something about plats screaming when you pull them out of the ground!. i really don't buy itWww@FoodAQ@Com

Plants are not sentient, and so they don't feel pain!. Animals do, and that's pretty obvious!. Besides you have to eat something!. I would always eat something that has no awareness, than something that does!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

no plants dont have feelings, i dont beleive they have any nerve systems to alert them that they have been hurt or cut apart, they only die because they lack food and water, rather then knowing that they have been cut apartWww@FoodAQ@Com

I've been a vegetarian since age five, and I have to say no!. The do not have central nervous systems, so they do not feel pain!. Do not worry about eating plants!Www@FoodAQ@Com

animals have complex nervous systems and show emotion/pain!.
plants don't!. no i don't believe they have feelings, Www@FoodAQ@Com

Plants have no central nervous system!. End of story!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I doubt that they feel pain but any life has some sense of self!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

No, only people who eat them ;)Www@FoodAQ@Com

I don't think they have feelingsWww@FoodAQ@Com

Looking at my carrot, I would say, no!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
