If you need meat or dairy during any stage of your life or to live any certain lifestyle, why does the American Dietetic Association say otherwise!?

Meat has B12 but most meat eaters still don't get enough!. Everyone, not just vegetarians, should supplement to eliminate the problem!.
B12 is made by bacteria, not animals so it is easy to find vegetarian pills!.

Bread, pasta, cereal, rice, beans, peas, lentil, nuts, seeds, fruits and veggies can easily offer everything that you need except B12!.

All vegetarians should take a B12 supplement regularly since most people eat meat, dairy AND fortified cereals yet still have a B12 status that is lower than recommended!.

It may help you if you see proof that vegetarians have the same potential as anyone else!.

According to the American Dietetic Association and the American Academy of Pediatrics, vegetarian diets are appropriate for ALL life stages, including childhood and adolescence!.

There are NO nutrients in meat that cannot be found elsewhere!. Meat has protein, iron, zinc and some B vitamins!. All of these nutrients are readily available in plant foods!. The only thing in meat that you won't find in the plant world is cholesterol!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

well, we get proten from meat, but you can substitute other things for that so no worry, I think it will be very health for anyone especially a preteen to eat a vegetarian diet, as long as they get all the proper nutrients and minerals for their body!. Meat is also extremly hard for our bodies to digest so veggies and fruits are much healthier, if you ocassionaly want to eat meat try organic, the difference is priceless!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

Do you really think eating meat is healthy!?!?!? Meat and dairy cause cancer, high cholesterol, blocked arteries, weakened immune system etc!. Meat is filled with growth hormone, anti-biotics, pesticides, and numerous other chemicals!. How is that healthy!? So many people are so mis-informed, it's not even funny!. I know a vegetarian diet is healthy!. How do I know this!? Research, and more research!. I strongly suggest you do the same!. Libraries are free!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

There are many religions where followers typically won't eat meat, that's proof enough that you can live without meat from birth!.

Beef contains a large amount of protein that helps hair and nails grow, this can usually be substituted with protein filled vegetables and fruits like avocados and also with vitamins!.

I find it fine, but the fats and proteins must be kept at normal levels, or sufficient levels!. Nuts and legumes are good sources of protein!. Nuts are good fats too!.

Dairy is not always the answer!. The whole diet must be balanced and nutritious and sufficient to help a body grow, especially a small child, pre-teen and teenWww@FoodAQ@Com
