Vegetarian Recipes, No Onion or Garlic! ?!
Hello, My whole family is vegetarian, however we don't eat Onions & Garlic, so i was wondering if anyone knows any recipes!.
We don't eat anything that has onions or garlic (including onion powder etc!.) We aren't vegan so dairy products are ok!. and we don't eat sea food!.

I don't have any specific recipes to recommend!.!.!. just take normal recipes and if they require onion or garlic either leave it out or replace with hing!.
Hing/Asafoetida can be found in most ethnic markets/co-ops, if its not in your local supermarket (its not that uncommon, just sounds funny!)
I know that Hare Krishnas, Jainists, and some Hindus (who have religious/spiritual objections to eating onions/garlic) commonly use hing as "it has a pungent garlic smell when raw, but in cooked dishes, it delivers a smooth flavor, reminiscent of leeks" (according to wikipedia)!.
Just a side comment: you may wish to ask a family member why you do not eat these foods!. It is always good to understand why your religion/beliefs requires certain things of you, it makes life a lot easier :)Www@FoodAQ@Com

Onion and garlic are really only in things for flavor, Im sure you could just substitute it with some other seasoning!. Vegcooking!.com has a whole bunch of recipes- all v/v!.
