Is margerine a vegan product- I see in a lot of vegan recipes.?!
I thought margerine was non vegan and I am pretty sure it is non vegan, but I see it in a lot of vegan bakery recipes!!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Margarine is primarily made with plant oils!. However, in their quest to imitate butter most manufacturers put whey in their product, which makes it non-vegan!.
There are several vegan options, though!. Earth Balance non-hydrogenated spread is completely free of animal ingredients, tastes really good (I was always a real butter person, so I'm picky,) and bakes and cooks well!. One of the Smart Balance varieties is also vegan and there's a brand that I think is called Willow Run that is animal-free, too!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Some margerines are, most aren't!. Many brands add milk solids for some unknown (and infuriating) reason!
In my country there are at least two common (i!.e!. found at local supermarket) margerines that are vegan: one is an expensive olive oil based marg and the other is very cheap generic supermarket brand!.
Just check the ingredients list for milk solids :)

No,margerine is not vegan!.The kind you see in recipes is vegan margerine made from oils,soya and sunflower!.You can buy vegan margerine in supermarkets and health food stores!.The brand i like to use is called 'pure'Www@FoodAQ@Com
The majority of margarine and vegetable spreads are not vegan, many are not vegetarian as they have fish oils in them!.

Regular margarine is not vegan!. You have to get vegan spreads like Vegan Garden!. I get mine near the produce section in the grocery store!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
