Question: Is it unhealthy to eat a soy meat subsitute every day!?
i usually have a sandwich with veggie turkey (made with soy protein) or veggie chicken nuggets everyday for lunch!. is it healthy to eat soy protein EVERY day!? Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
It's not necessarily bad, but try incorporating some other proteins when you can!. Black bean burrito, or peanut butter sandwich instead would be ideal to substitute for soy maybe 2-3 times a week!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

You can eat it every day!.
Nothing unhealthy about it!.
Soy protein is the best protein and that's a tasty way to get a good dose of it!.

But, just like anyone else, you need to get all your vitamins & minerals too!.
So you still need to eat other plant foods or take supplements!.

Though, it's worth noting that, even if you just continued to eat nothing but soy protein sandwiches & nuggets, you'd still be much healthier than the average meat eater!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I think it's soya protein isolate to look out for and is meant to lead to a higher risk of cancer!.!.!.!.like everything!. I wouldn't worry, just try to be varied a little more perhaps, try humous sandwiches instead (if your are vegan) or egg or cheese if you are veggie!.

Personally I think I would limit soya protein isolate servings to about 4 times a week!. Just general soya protein like from tofu of soya milk I should think would be fine though can lower the sperm count of men but regulate the hormones of women due to its estrogen content!.

Happy eating!Www@FoodAQ@Com

It's okay I guess, but it would probably be a good idea to get more variety!. Try some different kinds of beans and so on!.

There might be some risk of not getting of other nutrients if your diet is the almost the same every day!.

Allergies to soy are fairly common, but I don't believe the hype about it causing all kinds of health problems for everybody!.

My ex ate that stuff every day!. From my point of view - not only is such boring - you also are exposing yourself to many chemicals because of processing - which just can't be good for you!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I guess not, as long as your diet is balanced!. I use to do that when I first became a vegetarian!Www@FoodAQ@Com
