Can you at honey as a vegan?!
Answers:
From what I have seen, there are levels of veganism and different strains of thought!. That said, all the vegans I know do not eat honey!. One vegan friend ate it for a while though and eventually gave it up!. I am not vegan but I'm trying to move in that direction by slowing finding substitutes for animal products!. I recently found an Agave product at Whole Foods (it's light in color) that I think is a good substitute!. Once the honey I have already runs out, I will not buy more!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
The obvious answer is that you can eat anything that you want!.
As to if others will accept such if you do and still claim such a title - that something else!.
Many will have a problem with such a choice!. Some will not!.
My suggestion is to eat as healthy as you can to get all that you need within your diet!. More important to eat a healthy diet vs!. worry about the title that you lay claim to!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

You can NOT!.
My reasons being!.!.
#1-If there was no bee (bee's are animals to) there would be no honey!.
#2-Bees do NOT make honey for us humans to steal and consume!.
#3-Bees are crushed and smoked and all that in the production of honey, no to great, even though they are small doesn't mean they are any less of an animal than a dog or cat!.
#4-Some sugar is filtered using bones which i beleive to be burnt to whiten the sugar or something like that, is that vegan!? most certainly is not!.
There's way more but right now I'm half dead haha heaps tired, big day/night and yeah!. It isn't vegan!.

Vegans are torn on this issue, I have vegan friends that do and those that don't!. Technically, however, it's an animal product and is against basic vegan principles!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
No, honey is made by bees, which are animals, and a vegan eats nothing that comes from or is made by animals!. A vegetarian can eat honey, but not a vegan!. Www@FoodAQ@Com
It's arguable but veg@ns are supposed to be compassionate to all living things even insects so it would be a little hypocritical fpr a veg@n to eat honey!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Veganism = no animal products!.
Honey = product from bees!.
Bee = animal!.
