Okay, so I'm going to attempt to make vegetable soup and I need some help.?!

Question: Okay, so I'm going to attempt to make vegetable soup and I need some help!.!?
Here is what I plan on using:

Vegetable Broth
Vegetable soup mix (dry organic veggies-corn, peas, beans etc)
Some green and red peppers and onion
Rotoni noodles

So, My main question is, can I use half vegetable soup broth and half water for the broth, or should I use nothing but the vegetable broth!?

I have to boil the vegetable soup mix for x amount of time, so should I boil that in the vegetable broth and water!? Would that make it thick!?

Any advice welcome!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

First I would make vegetable broth from scratch!.
But if you are using vegetable broth from a can, you don't need to add water!. You can if you want to but that's just a matter of taste rather than a cooking necessity!. Get the low sodium kind so that you can adjust taste later!.
Am not familiar with soup mixes (never use them) but I would assume that the veggies are dehydrated and not al that good when re-hydrated!. And if they are "pre flavored/pre seasoned" I would cook them first as per instructions and add the broth later to taste!.

Sorry if not much help but I realy don't cook with prepared mixes and such!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

If you are using soup mix I would add water!. If you use only the vegetable broth the soup will be salty!. Those soup flavor packets are designed to be added to water!. I would recommend using the water called for with the soup mix, then add veggie broth, noodles and vegetables then, cook them all together for the time needed!. This will only help to concentrate the flavor!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

First I would make your Vegetable soup mix according to the soup package directions!. Then add that to your vegetable broth, but do not add water, it might take away from the taste!. Add your green & red peppers and onions!. Add the rotoni noodles only at the end, or they will get soggyWww@FoodAQ@Com

Yes I tend to add water to my soup recipes, but more broth you do not even have to use broth if you are adding spices!. If it is thick add more broth or water!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
