It is a small seed off a plant that comes from the Mediterranean area!.

a caper is the bud of a schrub that grows in the mediterranean (sp!?) region!. It is picked and pickled!. I don't know if they can be grown in the U!.S!. or what the name of the schrub is - I just love to cook with them!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
