Question: Why does milk make my stomach hurt but I can eat yogurt and cheese, etc, no problem!?
Answers:
Milk contains lactose!.
Yoghurt and cheese are made with an enzyme that destroys the lactose!.

About 70 percent of the people on Earth are lactose intolerant!.

You probably have lactose intolerance!. In fermented milk products (cheese, yogurt, sour cream, etc!.) the lactose (milk sugar) has been converted into lactic acid (the stuff that gives the sour taste) by lactic acid bacteria!. So there is little or no lactose left in the product and your lactose intolerance isn't a problem!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

It sounds like your lactose intolerant!. Don't worry most people are somewhat lactose intolerant by they time they are 5 years old!.
The reason you can still eat cheese and yogurt is because the cultures used to make them have broken down most the lactose for you!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

You sound intolerant to lactose!. And milk is generally bad for your digestive and respiratory system - it *is* meant for infants of another species!Www@FoodAQ@Com

I have the same thing! I don't drink milk anymore, just lots and lots of soy milk!Www@FoodAQ@Com
