What are the health risks of being vegan?!
I am just going vegan and i know how to get enough protien but i have hear about people losing memory and feeling weak and tired!. Can you please tell me what some other health risks are and why!? Are there any extra vitamans i should be taking!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

There are no health risk of being vegan, however there are health risk of being an animal eater or not getting your nutrients (both proven) If you research on vegan nutrition and get all your nutrients and eat healthy and exercise you should have no problem!. Where have you heard about people losing memory and feeling weak and tired from going vegan!? People feel weak and tired for many reason, one is not eating right, but the majority of vegans do eat right and have no problems!. Some vegans take vitamin B12, but can be gotten from fortified foods, some sea vegetables, some fermented foods, and fresh foods that have not been cleaned; as well some take Vitamin D but that can be gotten from sunlight, vegetable oils & margarine, most fortified plant milks (such as soy, rice, & hemp), spirulina, and fortified cereals & breads!.

I have vegan friends and it is a very healthy way to live, you just want to make sure you get a balanced diet!. Proteins, grains, fiber, veggies, etc!. You can get all the essentials to live from being vegan, just make sure you get everything you need!.

I take a b12 supplement!.!.!. that's one vitamin that is very hard to get from plant foods!. It is only really found in animal flesh but that's just cause it grows on bacteria and rotting flesh definitely has bacteria on it!.!.!. gross!. I'd rather take my orange flavored supplement every night!. There are definite serious risks with b12 deficiency!. Look it up!.
Aside from that, it's a-ok as long as you eat a balanced diet!.!.!. but most omnivores don't even eat a balanced diet themselves!. I found that switching to veganism is most of the time, a vast improvement from the previous omnivourous diet!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I have been a Vegan for ten years and before that I was a Vegetarian!. I have actually been healthier since I became a Vegan!. As long as you eat a balanced diet you will be OK!.

a well balanced omnivorous, vegetarian or vegan can is very healthy!.!.!.and to prove it you have top atheletes awho are vegan, vegetarian and omnivorous

the only health risks i know of is lack of protien
so be sure to take as many vitamins as you need
