Oh I love PETA!. If you ever need to know how to help animals, they'll have your answer!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Well, they possibly want to help other animals, that's “Nice” but they don't seem to be very “compassionate”!. I really disagree with their methods, it's more like using fear and disgust to achieve what they want!. They should stop driving the fact that animals get mis treated!. Really, this just shows differences between us and animals, we don't get slaughtered like that, so that means we are not the same, vegans don't aim to emphasize on the differences between us and other animals!.

What if instead of broadcasting death and destruction, they sent out videos of animals living, focusing on aspects in which we are similar to them!. In fact, a split screen video of filmed humans running their daily lives being compared to farm animals behaving the exact same way could have some humor value to it, so it would spread better than what they're currently sending out!. And some people even might look at their stake, it'll remind them of that “person on TV doing that every day thing” and turn them off to meat/killing!.

Most people I talk to already knows animals are mistreated, and say they couldn't kill if they had to, but since slaughter houses do it for them, they can ignore it!. While I find this disturbing, it proves that blood and guts campaigns are probably not the best medium of conversion!. Now I'm not saying it shouldn't be documented, we should be able to know!. If it's undocumented then anywhere can avoid responsibility for their actions!. It's just not what would turn most people!. It makes them more uncomfortable, not more caring!.

They could achieve great things, but currently they seem too angry to be rational enough to do it!.

PS!. Some knowledge bases they host are useful, but these could still be done, and possibly better, without PETA!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I think they hurt the animal rights cause more than they help it!. While they do some good things like provide online resources for vegans and undercover investigations of factory farms, their over-the-top ads and rhetoric just, I believe, drive more people away and make all of us vegans and vegetarians look like irrational dogmatic zealots!.

If we want meaningful change, we need veganism to be appealing to the mainstream, rather than making it easy to dismiss us as freaks!.

There are plenty of other groups working for animals that people can support if interested, like Compassion Over Killing!.

Although I respect groups that protect animals and their rights, I can't say I care for those people who go to the extreme to the point of appearing insane!. I'm sure not everyone in PETA is an extremist, but those who are tend to give off a bad impression to the general public!. I admire what they stand for, but some of their techniques turn me off!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

They started out well but got hooked on their celebrity status and stayed there!. If they let go of their extremism, a lot more people would listen!.I don't care for them or their tactics!. I prefer PAWS (people for animal welfare society) a pro animal welfare group started by high school students from my school years ago!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Oh yeah!. I remember the time they ruined the VS show; it came out all over the news!. They tried to make my girlfriend Gisele look bad!. Though, they just ended up looking like dumb-a$$es themselves!. This is how they ruined the show: http://www!.youtube!.com/watch!?v=9A97xsAYM!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

i think they are a great organization!. i really support them!. but sometimes they are a bit extreme!.!.!. like we shouldn't have guide dogs!. i think that is ok!. they are working for a good cause!. i think they are doing a great job!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

They have good intentions but go at it wrong and probably turn more people away than they gain, they make all veg*ns look like nutters!. There campaigns are often sexist, exploiting womens bodies to make a point!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

PETA's half truths and out and out lies hurt animal rights far more than they help!. They may have started out with good intentions but have become little more than a terrorist group!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

They obviously go way overboard!.!.!.they've become absurd!.
Pity too, PETA could have done so much good and have been well respected if they hadn't gone rabid!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I've lost all respect for them ever since one woman ruined The Victoria's Secret Fashion Show a couple years backWww@FoodAQ@Com

Mostly apathetic and certainly not impressed!. Occasionally annoyed!.
Www@FoodAQ@Com

Apathetic!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

they are a strange bunch of peopleWww@FoodAQ@Com

Animal welfare is a much more realistic and helpful thing to fight for than animal rights!. And how many of you even know the difference!?

Farmers listen to welfare activists because they help them do a better job!. Farmers would like to shoot rights activists because all they do is tear the working man apart!. Now, who do you think makes the most difference in the lives of livestock!?

In the Ag world, the only thing peta is good for is weeding out the bad apples!. Too bad the rest of us have to take the wrap!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

PETA is for the extinction of all domestic animals!. Yes, that includes pets!. Their "shelter" has one of the highest kill rates (97% by their own reporting) in the country!. www!.petakillsanimals!.com

You can check out the fur commission's website for court cases where it was documented that PETA paid people to torture animals and skin them alive so they could claim the video documented actual events with in the industry!. They are on the FBI's terrorist watch list!. A couple years ago there was a case where PETA was prosecuted for taking animals from individuals and killing the animals in their van out back and dumping the bodies in the dumpster!. This happened in North Carolina I believe!. They told the animals owners they were taking them to their "shelter", but the animals only made it to the van!.

Anyone who supports them with the idea that they "help" animals needs to do some serious research!. If you don't believe the internet then order the actual court documents!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
