okay i watched a video on yourtube called meet your meat,
and I am currently a vegetarian now yes, i just decided this decision today after watching, because i cannot and will not continue to eat meat its so cruel to the poor animals they're so innocent but anyhow i just have a couple questions,
1) what exactly is a vegetarian!?
2)do you lose weight from being vegetarian!?
3)what kind of foods can you eat, and what kind of foods can't you eat!?
4)also, where can i buy tofu at!?

1) Someone who does not eat ANY kind of meat!. This includes chicken and fish!. You CANNOT eat chicken or seafood if you are vegetarian!.

A vegetarian is a person who does not eat meat!. Some vegetarians will eat diary products, eggs, and fish while other do not!. Just like eating a diet that includes meat, you can lose weight from being a vegetarian!.

There's all types of vegetarian, I think the typical definition is that you don't eat meat!. If you go all the way to vegan you don't use any type of animal products including dairy, eggs, leather, etc!.
Not everyone will lose weight, since there is plenty of fat in cheese, eggs, etc!.
You should be able to get tofu any where!. Most grocery stores, trader joes and asian markets!.

I love the first response!.!.!.Just cheese!. That comes from an animal so it is an animal product!. Wow!.

When I became one I cut out anything and everything that came from something that once had eyes!. That is called vegan!. No eggs, butter, milk, cream, cheese, especially no meat!. At first, I gained 15 pounds!. I blame that on the fact that I quit smoking around the same time!. Now, I weigh less than when I became vegan!. A typical days worth of food for me is fruit and a homemade vegan waffle for breakfast or a fruit and Silk (soy) yogurt smoothie with flax seeds and I have coffee with silk creamer, for lunch I will have a green leaf salad with black beans and tomatoes, mushrooms, cucumbers, basically whatever vegetables I have lying around, and for dinner, I marinate tofu ( you can find lots of recipes on-line) and I cook it in a pan with olive oil and a tons of fresh or frozen vegetables!. I eat cereal some days, but you have to read the box, Frosted Mini wheats contain gelatin, barf!! I also eat p!.b!. and jelly on a tortilla because lots of breads contain eggs!. Some vegetarians eat the fake "meats" but I don't because lots of them contain eggs as well!. I don't miss meat at all!. The longer I go with out it, the more disgusted I am by it and any other animal product!. And you can get tofu at basically any grocery store, even Wal-Mart has it! Oh, when I eat out I go to subway and get a veggie sub, I swear it is the best sandwich ever!. :)Www@FoodAQ@Com
