1 Cup Salad Greens, Loose or Packed?!

Question: 1 Cup Salad Greens, Loose or Packed!?
Concerning salads, greens and such, when it says that 1 serving equals 1 - 1 1/2 cups, does it mean loosely or packed in!? If you pack it in, it could look closer to 2 - 2 1/2 cups when laid out!. So, I’m just wondering!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
Loose

Packing the greens would damage them, so it would be a dumb way to measure!.

The serving size really should be measured by weight; no ambiguity!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I have this same issue!. I bought a pack of spinach at Trader Joe's and it says on the package that a serving of it is 3 cups!? I mean, I like spinach but I'm not going to eat 3 cups at once!. But if you really want to know, try buying a package of greens that says how many servings there are per package and divide it up into cups - that way you'll get a better idea!. Good luck!Www@FoodAQ@Com
