If you refrigerate a kombucha culture, will it die?!

Question: If you refrigerate a kombucha culture, will it die!?
Answers:
No it will not, they can withstand those temperatures!. If you boil it, it'll die, however!. In fact it's better to refridgerate it because you don't want to contaminate it with other bacteria and then breed something in warm room temperature and make it a brew of trouble instead of something relatively healthy!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I don't *think* so!. I buy the kombucha teas at whole foods and they are refrigerated!.

As far as making your own!? I could be wrong, but i don't think it kills the culture when its refrigerated!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

My friend makes it himself and he refrigerates it after opened!. Www@FoodAQ@Com
