Answers:
Ask about any dish with tofu or just vegetables and ask if they can make it without fish sauce or oyster sauce!.

Asian restaurants often have a "vegetarian" section of the menu but don't actually serve vegetarian food because of these two ingredients!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

i think you can get really healthy food at a thai place!. i'm not sure but i wouldn't think pad thai is too low calorie or anything like that!. get something like basil veggies with tofu, and brown rice!. any kind of veggies and tofu, as long as it's not all fried, should be fine and brown rice is much better for you than white!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Pad Thai is good , lots of noodles, beansprouts and not too spicey!.
You need to tell your waiter/chef that your vegetarian and ask what they will do for you!. They are likely to cook something not on the menu and to make it fresh and healthy!.
Many Thai restaurants use Fish sauce in every dish or shrimp paste for flavour!. They also sprinkle it with MSG for extra taste!. So tell them what you want!.

I like pad thai, too!.

But I usually wind up getting some kind of curry!. It's cooked in coconut milk, which is indeed high in fat!. But it's so delicious and full of veggies that I allow it once in awhile!.

In general, avoid the appetizers!. They're often deep-fried!. Divine, but not so healthy ;-)Www@FoodAQ@Com

Rice is always a good stable!.
You could always special order a vegetable dish with spices you like, or just ask for a dish without the meat!. I woudl think most places would take an special orderWww@FoodAQ@Com

My fav Thai place has tofu & veggies in garlic sauce!. Most places will adjust other meat dishes with tofu if they have it!. Www@FoodAQ@Com
