You are still an omnivore which means you eat animals, animal products, vegetables and grains!. If you stop eating all animals then you become a vegetarian!. If you stop eating animals and eating/using animal products ( milk, eggs, honey, leather) then you are a vegan!.
I don't think anyone should be hung up on titles - you have made a good start but if you knew how chickens lived and were killed then you would probably stop eating them too , but it's up to you to find that out for yourself!.no one can make you a vegan/vegetarian or bully you in to it or lay guilt trips on you in an effort to make you vegetarian or vegan!.It's a personal journey and it's up to you to inform yourself and then make decisions about your food choices!.
If you want to get information there are plenty of websites out there but remember many are highly politicised and instead of just giving information they put it in a very inflammatory way which drives as many people away from veganism/vegetarianism as draws them closer!.It's all up to you - no one else!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
