And Even Tho I used to eat A LOT of meat (mostly Chicken) I'm not really upset about thinking of the stuff i well not longer eat or drink!. !.!.In till now, I used to Really Love Drinking " Java Monsters " LOVED EM!. But i was just thinking about them and looked at the back of one of my empty canes too see what was in em and it has " Reduced Fat Milk" i kinda Sunk on the inside bc of the Milk!. When I went vegetarian, there was nothing I missed!. When I went vegan, I was really worried that I'd miss cheese, but that's not been an issue!. The only thing I occasionally miss is convenience!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
The one thing i have always missed is sea food!. I tried my first fish, crab and calamari in the week before i became a vegetarian!. This last year i moved closer to the ocean and there is sea food everywhere!. I started eating it again, but I decided against it and have gone back to being a vegetarian!. i miss it still, but my feelings are that it is so much healthier to not eat meat, so i am doing it for my healthWww@FoodAQ@Com
Are you a vegan or vegetarian!?Because vegetarians can still drink milk!.
Anyway, I haven't eaten meat in a little over 3 months!.The hardest thing for me is when I'm out like at the mall or something, it's hard to find something to eat that isn't salad!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I still miss sea food, I live in the gulf and sea food is EVERYWHERE!. Fish was my favorite type of meat!. Cheese was also another hard one, i LOVE those really fancy cheeses!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
I used to adore southern fried chicken!. But now, even just the smell makes me sick, but it really was the hardest thing to give up!. Everything else was relatively easy!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
I don't miss any meat!. Nothing missed after going vegetarian!. Going vegan though, that's another story!. I'd say the thing I miss the most are canolies!. Www@FoodAQ@Com
I don't really miss eating anything but when I smell Long John Silvers Chicken I kinda want some!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
I was born a vegitarian so I really don't miss anythingWww@FoodAQ@Com
Geez, when I first went veg I had a list as long as Minnesota, but now when I think about it!.!.!. there is nothing I honestly want or can remember wanting!. It all just grosses me out so much!. Www@FoodAQ@Com
Parmesan cheese! I just decided to try the whole no meat, and actually no animal products at all thing a week ago!. I made it to the 3rd day, and then I just couldn't take it!. I really missed having Parmesan sprinkles on my pasta!. But I was willing to put up with it until someone on here suggested I add just a little dairy to "bind things up" a bit!. The gastrointestinal issues were more than I could take!. Had to do something to make that go away!. Ever since I added just a little cheese, I have been fine!. I also had some organicly derived eggs today!. I'm feeling ok about that!. But, no meat, and I really don't miss it!. My family had big fat meatballs with our spaghetti tonight, and it didnt even phase me!. Www@FoodAQ@Com
i havent eaten red meat for about 4 1/2 years!.!.!.at first it was hard like whenever my parents would make steak i would smell it and be like 'omg i remember eating that!.!.it tasted soo good!' but honestly now i dont even crave for it ever!. i will never eat it again!. eating animals is horrible =[
however i recently gave up turkey and chicken a few weeks ago and the first week was so hard!.!.i went in starbucks one day and i saw this turkey sandwich that i had before and it was amazing!.!.!.if i had money i swear i would have bought it!.!.!.but im happy i didnt!. 10 minutes of great taste isnt worth the death of a little turkey!.
it still is a little hard like if my mom makes chicken cutlets bc i used to love eating them!.!.!.!.but she makes other stuff for me like boca burgers or veggie burgers and rice and vegetables so its alright!. im getting used to it
i just dont think people can call themselves an animal lover if they eat them so i dontWww@FoodAQ@Com

I went vegetarian a long time ago, but I just stopped eating dairy and eggs!. When I went vegetarian, I remember it was hard to give up bacon when my family went out for brunches and it was hard to give up Campbell's chicken noodle soup!. If I had only known about Smart Bacon and No-Chicken Noodle Soup by Amy's Kitchen back then! Now those are two of my favorite meat-substitute foods!
Since I stopped eating dairy and eggs, one thing I miss is egg rolls! I mean, I don't really care enough to miss them that much, but those were tasty!. And Lindt chocolate truffles I miss!. I haven't tasted vegan mashed potatoes yet so we'll see how that one goes!. Goat cheese is one of the only things that really seems tempting - like some feta on a Greek salad:)
But honestly, I'm not much of a "comfort food" person!. I don't have emotional attachments to food, I just like tasty stuff, so giving a food up isn't too big a deal for me; I just need a reason!. I used to make macaroni and cheese casserole a lot!. Now, even though it hasn't been long at all since I stopped eating cheese, the thought of eating that much dairy kind of grosses me out!. I guess a lot of foods like dairy and meat are acquired tastes, and once you get into the routine of not eating them you don't miss em much!. It seems really common for vegetarians to say, "Now meat is just disgusting to me," or "I can't even stand the smell of meat!." I have even tasted chicken since I became a vegetarian and tried to eat it, but the texture and taste were just physically revolting!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

I used to have cravings all the time for the juiciest, greasiest, most artery clogging burger!.!.!.I would go outside and get a whiff of someone grilling in the next yard over, or even when walking past a fast food restaurant!. I often had thoughts of just 'being bad' and gorging myself on meat for a day because I thought I had been deprived!.
Honestly, that phase only lasted a few months!. Nowadays I can say that I never have a craving to taste meat again!. In fact, the smell is almost sickening to me (especially in places like the meat section of my local supermarket!.)
I violated my personal standards in the beginning of 2008!. I was traveling and was invited as a guest into someone's home for dinner!. The culture was a little bit 'old fashioned', and my host had no concept of why someone would choose to be a vegetarian for ethical reasons!. I made a choice to be a gracious guest, and to be culturally sensitive, and accept the food that I was given!. I literally got sick to my stomach after eating meat for the first time in almost 2 years!.
I DO however sometimes go out to eat or something and think "I wish I could just be normal and order anything off the menu, instead of having to get the 1 vegetarian option on here"!.
