If you go vegan why will you stop growing and why will you become underweight?!
i don't understand, please explain
i posted a question about me wanting to turn vegan !.!. i am already vegetarian and someone said you will become underweight and stop growing
where as i want to grow because i am 15 years old and 5 foot 1 and have not had my growth spurt yet (I'm sorry i didn't no the spelling for that)
is it really true that everyone that goes vegan becomes underweight!?

That is not true!. Generally animal products namely dairy are much harder for humans to digest!. Think about it we have 1 stomach and cows have seven!. So right away you get the benefit of a healthier digestive system!. Second you can gain much of the nutrients you need from legumes vegetables, fruits nuts, brown rice and many more other vegan products such as tofu or soy products!. Although meat is can be a much richer source of proteins the other foods will do just as well,you just have to eat a little more of them if meat is no longer in your diet!. But don't worry you will grow to be a healthy happy person as a vegan!Www@FoodAQ@Com
the amount of protein you need is actually very little!. Just look up plant sources of protein and make sure you get those!. Example!. One burger form like mcdonalds has more protein than you need all day!.
Just make sure you are getting the right nutrients!. As for unhealthy weight, well you will end up at about 10% body fat, which is extremely healthy!. You just wont look like the average fat american so other people will complain that you look unhealthy!.

no it doesn't! i have a 12 year old cousin, she's a vegan!. she's doing fine! she's perfectly healthy!. if you become vegan you just have to make sure you are getting your proper nutrients!. make sure you take some supplements! as long as you are getting necessary vitamins like C that will make your bones strong, you can turn vegan!Www@FoodAQ@Com

No, you just need to get enough protein!. A lot of it comes from dairy and eggs, but you can get enough from rice, beans, spinach, and other vegetables to be perfectly healthy!. If you want to be safe you can take supplements, but they shouldn't be necessary with a balanced diet!. :)Www@FoodAQ@Com
It's just a myth!. Being a vegan is healthier for you!. That is, as long as you're eating a healthy, varied vegan diet!. If you only ate carbs then it wouldn't be healthy!. If you eat tons of fruits, vegetables, legumes, beans, whole grains, nuts, seeds, soy products, etc!.!.!.!. then you will be very healthy and getting much better nutrition than 99% of the people around you!. You don't!. I lost weight when I became a vegan, but now I weigh what I should weigh!. I'm 5 foot 8 and a girl, I don't think I stopped growing!.

dont worry u wont stop growing, u mite loose weight depending on wha u start to eat, ul b loosing out in alot of carbohydrates n protein, jus make sure ta have a well balenced diet n everythin should b ok 4you then n your weight will fine :-) Www@FoodAQ@Com
