Vegan essentials and some other stuff?!


Question: Vegan essentials and some other stuff!?
I just decided to become vegan on sunday! I was vegetarian since december until then!. I come from a family with no extra money at all to buy a lot of fancy vegan foods, so I need some help; I want to make a list of five things to get every week!.

This week I have extra-firm tofu and soy milk picked out!. What are three other things that would be good to have!? I would like to have a vegetable or two, but i don't know what!. Is kale good!?

egg replacer, soy garden butter or earth balance butter, soy milk, and yeah kale is good!. :] do you like spinach!?

Keep it simple - get fresh veggies that are in season, so are naturally cheaper (ex!. carrots, broccoli), apples are coming in now, so their prices should be coming down!. Beans and rice - you can spice them all sorts of ways and they are CHEAP, whole grain pasta rocks too!.

Generally unprocessed foods are not only better for you, they are better for your wallet, and better for the planet!.

Scour the net for easy, cheap recipes!. There are a ton out there!.

P!.S!. 99 percent of vegan cheeses are not any good, so don't waste your money!. If at first you don't like soy milk, keep trying!. There are many brands and YOUR tastes will change!. :)Www@FoodAQ@Com

An assortment of beans and rice, including some canned beans, is really good to have on hand!. When you come home tired and don't want to cook, you can throw together a burritto really easily!. They even make brown rice that cooks in 10 minutes and still has all the fiber!.

As for the leafy veggies, kale is good but has a distinct bitter flavor!. If you don't like that, try baby spinach!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
