If I take protein and i don't work out will i still gain muscle mass?!

She's correct!. Protein does not equal muscle!. And you cannot gain muscle if you don't need it!. Your brain will only allow your muscles to grow if you stimulate them!. Even if you take steroids, you will not automatically grow muscles if you do not 'work out'!. You might grow hair in funny places and your hormones will be all wonky!.!.!. but you still need to exercise!.
It's a total myth!. Even if you 'work out' you will not build bigger better muscles by consuming more protein or consuming protein powders etc!. Most people that consume lots of vitamins and protein powders etc!. for 'working out' notice they are much improved only because their general diet is so lacking that any sort of additional nutrients will improve upon their crappy diet!. Plus, these protein powders are actually loaded up with amino acids, not protein, and not only that, they are loaded with calories!.!.!. so lots of these people gain weight in the form of fat, not just muscle (hey, look, I gained 5 pounds of pure muscle in the last week!.!.!. uh!.!.!. no)!.
