When we buy shelled almonds is it possible that oil in them is already extracted? ?!

Question: when we buy shelled almonds is it possible that oil in them is already extracted!? !?
Answers:
No!.

Almonds used for oil are those that do not meet quality standards to be sold as whole!. They are ground and pressed to extract the oil!. No almonds are boiled in water!. The only boiling would be in an "oil roast" similar to peanuts and isn't very good for you (too many fats)!.

If the nuts are already dry roasted (they probably are) the oils are driven out by heat and the nuts are no longer suitable for oil extraction!. You would have to buy "natural" or "raw" almonds to press oil from them, but why bother when the cost would be much greater than just buying the oil!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Yes, it is possible!. the shells are boiled in water!. Due to endoosmosis the water reaches inside the shell!. since water has more density than oil, the water which enters forces the oil out of the shell, which is then collected!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

I dont think that it has!. When the almond oil is extracted the company presses the almonds!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

They do have oil but remember almonds have the "good" fats that you need in your diet!. I limit myself to 10-15 a day!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Absolutely not!. Www@FoodAQ@Com
