Vegetarian Steps.....?!

Question: Vegetarian Steps!.!.!.!.!.!?
I eat free range chicken every now and again, I am trying to wean myself off it, I am not that keen on lentils, but happy to try some legumes that can be mixed through dishes (if you can name a few please let me know)!.

I am missing iron and protein in my diet, particularly iron and any suggestions for spice free vegetarian dishes for dinners and lunches would be great!.

I've been to a few sites and tried a few vege recipes, I make a lot of pasta dishes, I'll be overdosing on my carbohydrates which isn't good as I don't excerise 7 days a week, pasta free dishes please!.

Due to my own personal reasons, I will be a locto-ovo vegetarian, that includes cheese and dairy products only!.

Any suggestions appreciated!.

Thankyou!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
Peanuts, nuts, beans, lentils, eggs, cheese, yogurt and so on are super sources of protein!. Leafy green vegetables are good sources of iron!. I wish I had some recipes to offer you but unfortunately I do not cook much!.

I do really enjoy making stir-fries though (I usually use broccoli, snow peas, cauliflower, bok choy, cabbage, carrots and green beans!.!.!. any combination thereof, really, with teriyaki sauce)!. I also make sandwiches or wraps with cheese and veggies, or quesadillas on whole grain tortillas with bell peppers, onions, corn and black beans!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

spinach is very high in Iron and protein

a good idea is a poached egg with spinach is good

p!.s!. it would be best if the spinach is raw (uncooked) but it is fine if its notWww@FoodAQ@Com

lot's of spinach! go to a farmer's market and buy them out of spinach!. then google spinach recipes and go to town! you can try steaming some spinach with tofu and dousing with soy sauce ot any other sauce!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
