Question: Vegetarian (Faux) Chicken!?
I need an ingredient that replaces chicken, something that is just as filling but strictly for vegetarians!.

Sanitarium Soy Fillets are pretty good, and many Asian groceries sell mock meats!.

You can make something similar yourself using gluten flour, or just plain flour if you can't find that!. It is called seitan - search the internet for how to make it, and there are some good 'how to' videos on YouTube!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

12!.5 g vegetarian fried chicken (e!.g!., FriChik)
1 celery
0!.5 small onion
0!.2 large green bell pepper
4 eggs, beaten
100 g dry bread stuffing mix
salt and pepper to taste
15 ml olive oil



DIRECTIONS
Process the 'chicken' in a food processor and then transfer it to a medium mixing bowl!. Run the celery, onion and green pepper through the processor!. Add the vegetables to the mixing bowl and stir in the eggs, stuffing, salt and pepper; mix well!. Form into patties!.
In a medium frying pan heat olive oil over medium-high heat!. Fry patties on each side until browned!.
