Is boone's farm wine vegan?!
i seriously cant find any information on it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Answers:
Nope it's not vegan!. Boone Farm is made by Ernest and Julio Gallo!. It's hard to find info on Boone's but not on Ernest and Julio Gallo!. If you go to this website: http://www!.barnivore!.com/wine you can see under "Ernest and Julio Gallo" that it's not vegan-friendly!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
The use of animal based fining agents is pretty antiquated!. Modern science has come up with better, cheaper, and more predictable ways to adjust the characteristics of wine!. Gallo makes about a billion gallons of wine a year!. Do you really think they have someone out cracking eggs to separate the whites for that much wine!?
Boone's is also basically a manufactured product!. Yes, shocking I know, but there aren't grapes out there that taste like tropical breeze or strawberry hill!. A neutral tasting grape or grain based alcohol is flavored and colored to make the final product!. The old methods of fining to clarify the wine with gelatin or egg white is completely ridiculous for this application!. Think more along the lines of a 1000's of gallons per hour micro-filtration system using either synthetic pads or bentonite clay!.
You would have to be pretty extreme to be concerned there is animal derivatives used in making a product like Boone's!.

wine's in general are processed last time i knew!.!.!. most have blood in them as a filtering agent along with other pork element for filtering and color!.
boone's farm is a malt by the way, which makes it even lesser friendly to the enviroment in general along with it being a vegan product!.
same goes with beers!.
even those that make astounding claims that they're vegan!.!.!. they're lying!.
most do!.!. and it always ends up where the product has a element in it as a adjunct or an additive that eventually leads back to an animal derived element OR straight from an animals body part most likely an organ like the stomach, liver or parts of the bladder!.
