Wow Heff, you are stupid!. It doesn't matter if the meat you are consuming is already dead!. Supply and demand stupid! If you eat it, you are basically saying "Hey I ate it! Make some more!" I hat when people stay stupid crap like that it just really bothers me!.

Well back to the question!.

Protein-Beans, other legumes, nuts, nut butters, even broccoli, asparagus, milk, eggs, etc, there are sooooooooooooooo many things!.

Tell your parents that you are vegetarian and they just need to accept it!. I'm 16, worked for me!.

Well you can eat the side dishes at dinner if nothing else, just get extra!. That's stupid for your mom to say because it's actually less money to support a vegetable based diet than an animal based one, but, to each his own!.

No you can't!. What does your family eat!? A lot of my friends' families eat crap like burgers and hot dogs and macaroni!. So I can see where you'd run into a rut!. I was blessed with a family that values nutrition (even though they eat meat, we still are stocked with plenty of fruits and vegetables most the time)!. Your mom loves you!. She won't actually let you starve!. Just go on with it, and ask her nicely if when she is at the store if she could pick up some extra fruit and vegetables for the whole family--not just you!.

Vegetarians who eat eggs are known as Ovo-Vegetarians!. I am a Lacto-Ovo vegetarian, this is the most common type!. I eat dairy and eggs still, but not in large quantities, and i personally choose not to eat them alone, but I'll eat them in things!. also, you shouldn't eat gelatin, as it is from an animal's body, and most vegetarians choose not to eat any animal flesh!.

WE DON'T EAT FISH!!!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Vegetarianism is without a point!. the meat you consume is already deceased!. You can't save something that's already dead!. I suggest you stop trying to be "unique" and just eat tasty, protein-providing meat like everybody else!. If you feel guilty about it, then just consider it natural selection!. I mean, other animals butcher each other for meat, so why shouldn't we!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

look i realize that you want to become a vegitarian but you have to realize that most of these facts are from radical groups who belive that eating meat is murder!. There is a compromise!. Eating kosher is animals that have been killed without pain and is generally healther Www@FoodAQ@Com

1!. the best way to get protein is spinach (it is best to have the spinach raw but it's ok if it's not)

you can eat eggsWww@FoodAQ@Com

it's your choice , don't let anyone stop you from being vegetarian!.

if u wanna be a vegetarian, u can settle for veggie burgers, not quite sure if they have proteins though!.
ur parents are idiots if they said what they said!. u should just try to buy ur own meals then, or at least eat whatever is made by ur mom thats vegetarian!.
im a hindu and were supposed to be vegetarians but im semi-religious so i do eat meat!. but i dont consider egg as meat, because it doesnt have any blood or flesh!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

maybe you can come my country, you can get lot of plant's protein!.it is very cheap all that, lot 's of people can't afford meat, but lots of them can long life,so you don't worry about healthyy!.it perfect!.well!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

I know that peanuts are good protein!. Peanut butter defiantly!. Eggs are your decision!. Some people say you cant eat fish, others say you can!. Start making your own decisions!. With your family your going to have to tell them sooner or later!. So how about sooner!. Don't starve!. It's not a good enough of reason!. If they don't accept then say "Shove it, this is how i want to live my life!." hahaha accept you might want to put that into your own words!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

Okay, I don't how you can get your parents to come around but I can give you info on vegitarians!. I took a food and nutrition class so you can trust me on this!. Vegetarians fall into different groups depending on what they eat or don't eat!. There are vegans, lacto-vegetarians, lacto-ovo-vegetarians, and flexitarians!. Now you said you eat no meat at all now, not even a little bite occasionally right!? If so, then tha rules out a flexitarian due to the fact that they are the ones who occassionally eat meat but keep to a primarily plant-based diet!. The vegan is the vegitarian that eats only plant-based foods!. They don't eat foods from animals, including meat, poultry, fish, milk, eggs and cheese!. The Lacto-vegetarians are the ones who consume milk and milk products along with plant-based foods!. They omit eggs as well as meat, fish and poultry!. Then finally the Lacto-ovo-vegetarian are the ones who eat eggs, milk and milk products, such as cheese and yogurt, in addition to plant-based foods!. They omit red meat, fish and poultry!. Another way to get protein is through tofu or soybean products and nuts!. penuts especially!. Nut loaves or texturized vegetable protein can also add variety to your diet!. If you'r a Lacto-ovo-vegetarian, you get your protien through eggs and dairy products!. Since you're only begininning, being a lacto-ovo-vegetarian is easier, especially in your situation!. Basically, eat anything other than red meat, fish or poultry and you'll be fine!. then, if you want to become a vegan, make it a slow transgretion from lacto-ove to just lacto and then to vegan!. I suggest waiting until you live on your own to go that far since you lack a supportive family!. If you need anymore advise or have more questions on nutrition or the like, just ask!.

Strict vegetarians do not eat anything that comes from an animal!.
Lacto-ovo-vegetarians do eat dairy and eggs!. Many vegetarians won't want you to eat eggs because the chickens are treated more horribly than any other animal!.

If you tell your mom, tell her how cheap it can be!. You don't need any special items or ingredient to be a vegetarian!. Everything that you need can be found at any supermarket!.

Bread, pasta, cereal, rice, beans, peas, lentils, nuts, seeds, fruits and veggies can easily offer everything that you need except B12!.

All vegetarians should take a B12 supplement regularly since most people eat meat, dairy AND fortified cereals yet still have a B12 status that is lower than recommended!.

well First of all this is your choice!. and it is expensive being a vegetarian!. there a certain foods that yu can buy that carry plenty of protein that isn't a meat!. like peanuts!. yu can eat eggs if you are a vegetarian!.!.!. but not if you are a vegan!. they may ridicule you but if this is something you believe and you are serious about then let them!. do what You have to do to make your self happy!.!. as for buying the groceries!. i think since it is your own choice it should be something you take full responsibility for!. that means buying some of Your own food!. of course your parents will help you out a bit!.!. and they will learn to accept your choice!. they still love you the same!.
