"Our bodies naturally need meat and we're not made to be vegetarian"

That is the complete opposite of the truth!. If we were not made to be vegetarian, we would be able to kill animals with our bare hands and be able to eat it without using any tools, which we aren't!. Our bodies are naturally constructed to fit a vegetarian lifestyle but we are also able to survive with an omnivorous lifestyle as well!.

I made the switch to vegetarianism and yes, I miss a lot of meats!. Every time I go to McDonalds I would like nothing more than a double cheeseburger, and I'm perfectly capable of cheating, but I don't because I am very against the harvesting of animals!. The transition was actually pretty easy for me because since I was born my dad has been a vegetarian and I've lived with just him since I was two so I was used to all the vegetarian-style foods!.

"Is vegetarian food nasty!?"
If by this you mean imitation meats, I'm not gonna lie, some of it is revolting!. But there is a lot of good stuff out there too! I've had many fantastic veggie burgers and other meat substitutes that (don't taste like the real thing but!) are really tasty!. I also eat a lot of meat-alternative products like nuts, legumes and seeds (peanuts, almonds, chickpeas, lentils sunflower seeds, etc) because when combined with grains they are a source of protein! And of course I eat a lot of vegetables and fruits and grains which is just the regular stuff!. If you don't like a lot of vegetables and/or fruits I would not recommend making the switch!.

I hope I helped a little!

p!.s!. just out of curiosity - why are you thinking of making the switch!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

If you do not like vegetables then I suppose for you it would be "nasty"!. As for me I have always loved Veggies and fruit and preferred to eat them over meat!. I made the 100% switch a few years ago and have not missed meat once, I am a very busy person so cooking is not my thing and this has just made it 150% easier for me as I don't HAVE to cook a carrot to eat it first!
Besides if you knew what was in your meat and really thought about it that thought alone would make you sick!. Now as with anything somethings you are not going to like but with your old eating habits you would obviously not continue to eat this dish!. I personally do not like most of the "Veggie dogs" they are very soft and mushy and texture is an important part of enjoying food!.
I can tell you that I have lost at least 30lbs since and feel much more energized during the day and it's also nice to know that I am not clogging my arteries with animal fat!. Everyone needs to make their own choices and decide what is more important to them!. Good Luck!

Whats your reason!? If its to fit in with the tree-huggers at school and work, dont!. It needs to be a personal choice!.

Yeah, i was a vegitarian for a year!. I did it because of animal cruelty and massive outbreaks of meat poisoning (1200 sickend and 14 dead every day in america from meat posoning)!. I stopped because my mom barley made meals as it is!. She HATED making me a seperate meal and she didnt think it was fail because i didnt like meat anyway!.

The food isnt bad!. Its sometimes better than meat, but i miss the cheeseburger!.

If you want to kindof be a vegitarian because you hate mass production of meat, just dont eat anything from the following resturants:
Mcdonalds
Burger King
Pizza Hut
Taco Bell
White Castle
Jack in the Box
Arbeys
KFC

those are the major-bad mass marketers of factory farmed beef, chicken, etc!.

Hope i helped!

EDIT:
Dont listen to Navigator!. "Meat is health for you", thats lies!.
The human body is scientificly proven to be intended for a herbavore, not omni or carnivore! We have just gotten used to it!.
But seriously, how can cow crap, deep fried, and wrapped in news papers with artificial color be healthy!? I suppose there was a time were it was good for you, but not anymore!. Not anymore!.
You can get protein from soy!.

And you will miss meat!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

FIRST OFF people are retarded when they say "being Vegetarian is unhealthy" These people need punched in the face!. There are people who have NEVER eaten meat in their lives (Not me I havent ben vegetarian my entire life only part) and they are perfectly healthy! I get so mad that people say its not healthy!! Being vegetarian is not hard you can eat anything you want just not meat!. I really had no cravings of missing meat or anything I really like the lifestyle and some people say it is better for you not to eat meat!. I still get protein by eggs and peanut butter and all!.!.!. never have had any problems!. I dont get supplements or anything!.!.!.!.

Good luck to you!!!Www@FoodAQ@Com

I loved the taste of meat, dairy, and eggs at one time in my life!. But now I'm vegan and I love food even more!. It sounds stupid but I get so much joy knowing that I am putting fresh produce from the earth in my body and leaving all the animals alone!.

Vegetarian food is awesome!. There's an endless supply of veggie foods!. Eating vegetarian is really simple too, you just have to learn what to get at certain restaurants!.

I have been vegan for nearly 2 years now and I still have some cravings for a cheeseburger, but then I remember that it's actually made up of body parts and body fluids!. I wouldn't eat a ground up dog, so why would I eat ground up cow or coagulated cow juice (cheese)!?

Just do it!. Eating meat is a selfish act!. We don't need to contribute to killing for us to live!. I say it's selfish because humans only eat meat because they want the taste they grew up with!. Break free and embrace healthy, eco-friendly, animal-friendly food!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

How could vegetarian food be nasty!? It's just what people normally eat minus the meat!. I don't miss meat because the main reason I because vegetarian is because meat started to gross me out big time!. I mean, I'm all for animal rights, but just the thought of eating muscles/flesh is nasty to me!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

vegetarian food consists of veggies/grains/fruits !.!.!. is that nasty!?!?!?!!!
i love veggiessssssss!!!! and yes i do miss meatttttt ahhh good timeess !!

It was soo easy for me, I have been a vegetarian for over 5 years and I have NEVER once craved meat!. You can eat a lot of the same food, you just have to be more careful and check ingredients and ask about food at restaurants!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

I haven't had meat in 6 years and now I don't even see it as food!.

Vegetarian food has just as many options and flavors as non-vegetarian food!.

Here's a small list of ideas!.
