What is a vegan replacement for eggs in baking?!
I always use soy milk to replace any kind of cream or milk in recipes!. But what do you use as a vegan alternative for eggs in baking!? And how do you know how much to use in the replacement!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

I use ground flax seed for a perfect egg substitute in my daily baking!. Just mix about 3 tbsp ground flax with 1/4 cup warm water for each egg you want to substitute-cover it, then let it gel for about 5 minutes-it will be the exact consistency of an egg!. It also works for making french toast! I am allergic to eggs and have used flax for most recipes with good results!. You can grind the flax seeds in a blender or better yet, a coffee bean grinder!. Just use an equal amount of the flax for what the recipe calls for!. I bake daily, and always have good results!. There are powdered egg replacers on the market, but they are full of unnecessary stuff, and they are expensive!. Www@FoodAQ@Com
Hi im an agroindustrial engineer!.!.!.
First of all eggs are full of protein and fat, giving any recipe the colligative properties from protein and (in simple terms) the lubrication and taste that fat gives to food!.
I've never heard anyone trying to substitute whole eggs in a recipe but from my experience I will recommend the following!.!.!.!.
For each egg reaplaced:
Approx!. 1 teaspoon of any type of oil!. I recommend an oil that will withstand high temperatures and not oxidize!.!.!. That will be canola oil, or the normal cooking oil!.
(This will replace the yolk)
Approx!. A protein substitute!.!.!.Use gelatin!.!.!.!. Gelatin is also a protein (to make jello) that has very similar properties than that of eggwhites!. I dont know how gelatin comes in the USA (im from S!. America) but in my country gelatin comes as a powder!. I wouldn't know how much to use (per egg white), but i guess trial and error is the best way
(this will substitute the egg whites)
Hope it helpsWww@FoodAQ@Com

Usually, if a cake recipe calls for eggs, I will instead use one tablespoon of treacle (molasses!?) or malt or golden syrup per egg!. (The cakes always turn out nicely, using that formula, so I'll stick with it!.) Obviously that wouldn't work if it's one of those perverse and archaic recipes that calls for a dozen eggs - the cake would end up a tad oversweet!. Perhaps a mixture of treacle and soy milk might do the trick in that case!?Www@FoodAQ@Com
cornstarch and a bit of cooking oil! 1 to 2 tsps !.to replace each medium size egg! Make paste and slightly fry! Takes a bit of practice!.
You can use to make cake too but you don't have to make paste there just add to cake recipe to replace each egg!. add a bit extra baking powder too!Www@FoodAQ@Com

I just add extra baking powder :D Try using twice as much as you would normally, or a little less than that!.
Sometimes you can use apple sauce, too!. And they also have actual egg replacers out there, like Ener-G egg replacer!.

If I'm baking something sweet, I substitute bananas for the eggs!. The consistency is a little thicker, but it's still good!. Www@FoodAQ@Com
