I am Celiac and have IBS. I find I cannot eat hardly any veggies or fruits without getting horrible gas...?!
and stomach disturbances (noises/cramping)!. What do you recommend I should do!? If it possible I should take an enzyme supplement to help digest the fiber!? (P!.S!. I take tons of pro-biotics and other vitamins to help since I take nearly no veggies or fruits)!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

I was in the same situation due to obstructive crohn's disease!. Nothing I could do about the stomach disturbances - you have to just laugh those off!. When in a meeting I would make a joke!. Often people attribute those noises to hunger, go with the flow on that!. I ended up having to drink my veggies and fruit in the form of juices!. Try oatmeal if you can tolerate it!. Oatmeal is soluble fiber and easier on your system!. You can also take gas reducers to help break up the bubbles allowing you to pass it more easily - of course this can be embarassing since you will have to pass it!. Good luck!Www@FoodAQ@Com
Instead of searching for fruits and veggies that do not give you gas, you should keep searching for a way to rid yourself of the digestive problems you have!. Digestive problems are not genetic or anything like that!. They are usually due to longterm lifestyle and eating habits!. Often certain medications will contribute to digestive problems as well!.
also look into pro-biotic foods, instead of pro-biotic supplements!. Someone I know was forced to take antibiotics for a medical procedure!. It screwed up her digestion for over a year!. Literally, she had to be very aware of eating very easy to digest foods, including pro-biotic foods, and adding digestive enzymes to her diet!. Any small deviation would produce much discomfort!. But she never had a problem with fruits and vegetables!. In fact, fruits are the easiest thing for humans to digest!. I suggest that perhaps your fruits and vegetables are actually digesting too quickly due to your intake of too many pro-biotic supplements etc!. You may need a lot of pro-biotic and digestive help for cooked foods, but for raw uncooked fruits and vegetables (which most digest very easily), you would need less!.
Fibre doesn't digest!. It's fibre!. Fibre just helps to scrape the insides of your digestive tract and keep it clean!. That's the main reason fibre is 'good' for you!.
Instead of taking vitamins for nutrients, I recommend taking spirulina instead!. Vitamins or multi-vitamins are just a scam!. They are not whole vitamins or vitamins at all!. Spirulina is packed full of vitamins and minerals etc!. and is a whole-food!. Vitamins pills, are not whole vitamins and not whole foods!. I also have found that Flora Health makes some good whole food supplements!.
Well, those are my suggestions, hopefully something works for you!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

OMG Sorrocoso!. Celiac IS a gentic AUTOIMMUNE disease aka gluten intolerance!. Please educate yourself, and asker please ignore her, her ignorance can hurt you!
How far along are you in your healing!? It took me about 2 years to get to the point that I could comfortably eat fruits and veggies!.
I think oatmeal may be a good idea as long as it is a gluten free oatmeal such as Bob's Red Mill or something like that!. Better yet, just go with cellulose (citrucel is gf, btw)!. It will not cause bloating or cramping!. Sometimes when there is so much damage that our guts just shoot everything through (kind of like the slide at a water park) and there just isn't time in the gut to allow for digestion!.
If newly diagnosed, are you avoiding lactose for now!? Lactase is produced at the tips of the villi and if you haven't grown those back (in addition to the "big D" where you flush out any that you do make) you might be lactose intol for now, and exacerbating your digestive issues!.
Have you looked into fructose intolerance as well!?

hope this helps! So glad you have a sense of humor and I wish you were in my support group, you sound like you take a lot in stride!.!. me too! Blessings, NamaWww@FoodAQ@Com
