Question: I need to make a main course recipe for school!?
*It has to take 30 mins or less to make
*Has to be healthy
*Has to be quite simple
*Not too expensive to buy

(something like spaghetti bolognaise)

We get marked on the appearance and the skills used to make it!.

Enjoy a wholesome carrot stew:



3 c Leeks -- scrubbed and chopped
-into 1/2″ pieces
1 cl Garlic -- crushed
1 tb Olive oil
2 c Raw, wholesome carots -- scrubbed and
-finely diced
1 c Raw red potatoe -- finely
-diced
2 tb Tomato paste
pn Dried thyme
pn Dried oregano
Salt and pepper to taste
2 c Vegetable broth
1/2 c Ripe plives -- pitted and
-chopped

SAute leek and garlic in oil in a 4-quart stew pot!.
When leeks are soft, add all other vegetables and
seasonings!. Add broth, cover, and bring to a boil!.
Reduce heat and simmer at least 30 minutes!. During
last 5 minutes of cooking stir in olives!. (Note:
thiken with 1 tablspoon whole wheat or rice flour if

Alfredo with veggies over linguine:

1 bag of frozen veggies (broccoli, cauliflower and carrots)
1 jar of Ragu Alfredo Sauce

Cook the linguine to taste and while that is cooking make the veggies!.

Mix all together and heat on low for about 5 minutes!.

It will be delicious, colorful and healthy!

This will only cost about $7 to make and 20 minutes to cook from start to finish!.

Veggies over Angel Hair Pasta:

1 Squash
1 Zucchini
1 can of crushed tomatoes
1/4 cup of water
2 Tablespoons of Parmesan cheese
1 1/2 teaspoons of salt
1/2 teaspoon of pepper
1 teaspoon of garlic powder
1 teaspoon of oregano

Cut up zucchini and squash and place in pot with all the other ingredients!. Cook on high just until it comes to a slight boil!. Simmer on low for 20 minutes, COVERED!.

While the veggies are cooking make the angel hair!.

Place veggies on top of linguine and add a little Parmesan cheese on top!.

This will cost about $10 to make and take no more than 30 minutes!. (Hint: If you buy the spices at Wal*Mart they are only $!.50 a piece!.)Www@FoodAQ@Com

Veggie Curry:

1 onion
3 cloves garlic
? tsp ginger puree
1 tsp coriander powder
? tsp garam masala
? tsp turmeric
3 medium potatoes, cubed
frozen spinach
fresh coriander (if budget allows)
Yogurt

Fry the onion in oil until golden, add spices, garlic and ginger and potatoes!. Add a bit of water and place the lid on until potatoes are softened!. Add frozen spinach and peas and cook until hot and bubbling with the chopped coriander!.
Add yogurt to taste!.
Serve on a bed of rice or with a mini naan bread!.

any type of meat sandwich you grill, with cheese and tomato, lettuce!. what ever you want
