What changes did you get when you became a vegetarian/vegan?!


Question: What changes did you get when you became a vegetarian/vegan!?
Me:

-No fatigue
-better vision
-lost weight
-no constipation
-lesss bloating
-more alert
-less acne
-healthier hair (miracle)
-i dont get sick
-less body hair (miracle)
-brighter complexion
-im actually happier :)

hmm that's all i can remember right now, but overall is been the best thing ever! i swear i feel like a new person

-Cholesterol and blood sugar numbers much improved!.

We do eat dairy and eggs but we get them from a nearby farm so it's fresh and without chemicals and the cows and chickens are free range, no hormones and no cruelty!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Well when I became a vegetarian I also stopped drinking anything besides water and soy/almond/rice milk!. So idk if that's contributed to it as well!.!.

I pretty much have most of the things you experienced except for the vision and lol well I haven't measured any body hair recently! I'm near blind for like methinks!. I also love the creativity that comes with not just looking for meat as a protein source!

also to the guy who said the things changed b/c of a healthier lifestyle in general I'd have to disagree!. Most people who whole heartedly go vegetarian and eat more whole grains and even throw in organic produce a bit of the time do have more health benefits than those who eat processed foods all day!

Oh and not getting sick!.!.!. is awesome!. Lol everyone around me can be sick at any given time and I'll be just as healthy and feelin good as can be! I also wanna note that just mentally you feel better and clearer!. So amen to all of that!.

I became a vegetarian as a child, so I didn't notice a lot then!. But I just became a vegan several weeks ago, and I feel SO much better! Before going vegan, I was so tired all the time! If I tried watching a movie or just hanging out past about midnight, I would just fall asleep!. I didn't feel rested unless I got about 10 hours of sleep, and even then I sometimes woke up not feeling rested!. But now, what a difference! I feel really alert if I get up after 7 hours of sleep!. I don't get tired as much!. I feel alert during the day!. I have so much more energy now, and I feel motivated to do things because of that!. Before I had trouble finding motivation because I was just so physically drained!.

I don't think I've been vegan long enough to notice more long-term changes, like skin and hair health, but I hope that I'll get some good side effects there, too!

I would like to say that I was a vegetarian for 4 years and just recently went back to eating meat!. I don't think all of those things can be strictly attributed to making a change to vegiterianism/veganism I think it is more likely due to a recognition of a previously poor dieting and the corresponding changes!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I just started three weeks ago and my mom pushes me to eat meat!. I try not to but sometimes I fail!. I've eaten tuna twice!. So I can't exactly call myself a vegetarian!. But here is the changes in a couple of weeks!.

-no constipation
-Less fatigue, but I still feel sleepy sometimes!.
-No bloating (yay!)
-Craving fresher foods

I've felt tons better about myself since I've cut meat out of my diet!. It makes me feel that I've done a difference in the world!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

1st thing you should notice is no more bloating and gas(since animal flesh takes 1 WEEK to break down) and clear skin(so u dont get so much saturated fat) lower closetrol is comon sense lol!.!.!.!.not sure about sugar(maybe it has to do with you body still breaking down flesh so it just store the suger anywhere without your body kowing itWww@FoodAQ@Com

like you, less fatigue, less bloating, happier, better skin, i guess my hair is better, but thats also due to me using a natural shampoo, less constipation, but i still dont poop enough, lol!. more energy, less pains, not so much weigh loss yet though, i have lost a couple pounds!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

-Shorter & less painful periods, PMS symtoms improving too!.
-Lost weight

-Eating a much more varied diet, trying new recipes!.
- Just happier overall!
