Wow, not sure what Mr!. Kotex is so angry about!. Ignore negative comments like that!.
But, being a vegetarian can certainly be healthy for you!. It's most likely much healthier than what many of your friends are eating!. Getting skinnier is probably not a bad thing, right!? Unless you were very thin before, it is probably a sign that your body did not need that extra weight anyway!.
You should be careful to be eating a balanced diet, as everyone should!. People will be more quick to judge your vegetarian diet, so try to be even healthier than the healthiest meat eaters!
If you are making a meal, try to remember to eat half a plate of good veggies, especially leafy greens, broccoli, etc that have great calcium and protein!.
A quarter of your plate should be a nice whole grain, like quinoa, oats, millet, brown rice, whole wheat, etc!.
The last quarter should be beans, like lentils, soybeans, pinto beans, kidney beans, garbanzo beans!. You can use meat replacers and byproducts like tofu and soy!.
That should help balance your diet and bring the color back into your skin!. The one vitamin you will need to take is vitamin B12, which is not readily available from plant foods (it is, but it's much more abundant in meats)!. If you eat well, you shouldn't need other supplements!.
Hope this helps!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Being a vegetarian has been health for my whole family!.
But being a vegetarian isn't different from being a meat eater if you do it incorrectly!.
Being a vegetarian is something that requires education!. Because some vegetarians would eat a box of donuts with 7 up and think that because it has no meat that it's healthy!.
Read, Read, Read!. The current diet most widely prescribed is the FDA's food pyramid!. Everyone trys to build around that!.
But it's flawed because animals are complex organisms where chemical reactions happen in the body over 1 billion times per second!. So you have to have enzymes, oxygen, hydration, amino acids, etc!.
You have to read!. And learn the true parts of our diet that are important!.
Iron helps keep heat in the body!. But you have to eat a lot of iron rich plants, like spinach and dark green vegetation!. How much salad have you eaten!?
You need fats and you have to consume nuts, avocados, and other fatty (good fat) items to keep in your body!. You have to eat a lot of raw fruit and have fructose, vitamins, minerals, and hydrating juices coming in!.
You have made a wise choice to not eat meat!. But if you suffer from malnutrition it's because you have mismanaged your diet!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

First of all, I just wanted to congratulate you on hitting the 6 month mark! The first year is the hardest, I think!.
Being vegetarian is very good for your health!. By cutting meat out of your diet, you're less likely to develop cancer, diabetes, and heart disease!. Unfortunately, people normally get their Vitamin B-6, B-12, and Iron from meat!.
Since you don't eat meat at all, you need to take a multivitamin every day!. Trust me, if you have a deficiency in any of these things, you'll feel crappy and tired all the time!.
There could be many things causing you to loose weight!. You might be getting enough protein!. Depending on your age, you need about 50-70 grams of protein a day!. Try soy-milk or soy-burgers!. If you've already tried that, then maybe your calorie intake isn't what it should be!.
If you've lost a serious amount of weight, you need to see a doctor!. It's great that you've made the decision to not eat meat but you don't have to sacrifice your health to do it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

It all depends!.!.!.
You can be an unhealthy vegetarian!.!.!. But you can also be a healthy meat eater!.!.!. And vice versa!.!.!. It all depends on what you eat!.!.!. Meat eaters are generally unhealthier than vegans or vegetarians seeing how they mostly eat red meat and such that is bad for them and full of fats and stuff!.!.!. Vegetarians are generally healthier if they eat enough fruits, veggies, grains, the right kinds of fats, and such!.!.!. I would say watch what you eat and make sure you get enough vitamins and minerals and such!.!.!. I am vegan, three weeks yesterday, and i have lost color to my face and lost weight!.!.!. i don't know if these things are bad or just a kind of withdrawl!.!.!. But to be on the safe side i would go to a doctor and get a few tests done!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

you might not be getting enough iron,
vegetarianism is extremely healthy for you if you eat balanced and healthy!.
try to eat more soy products, and leafy greens for iron!.
if you've got skinnier where it has made you too skinny just eat more high calorie foods like nuts and avacodes with healthy fat!.
she just might think you've gotten paler and such because she knows about your diet change so it might just be all in her head!. i went almost two months veg before telling anyone so i could decide if i really wanted to stick with it, and noone noticed!. its like how people automatically associate that if your vegetarian and skinny its because of your diet its not becuase you were built like that or exercise!.
well im rambling, just try to eat more balanced and cut out processed food as much as possibleWww@FoodAQ@Com

Its great for you but you have to be careful with your diet even if you are an omnivore etc
recent studies int he US show 7!.5 years extra quality life for someone on a HEALTHY veggie diet & double it if you are vegan!. Sources below
However, just because something is veggie or vegan dosent mean its healthy!.
I know some veggies who live on junk food & they look pretty poor!.
You have to be taking some good food in especially fruits & vegetables
Do check out the website of the major veggie vegan organisations as they will have lots of nutritional info!.
The one mistake I do see new veggies making is that they replace meat with dairy products which is very bad!.
excess dairy is very hard for the body to deal with and it does cause the lining of your intestinal tract to ve coated with a thick mucus type sludge!.
this stops your body from taking in many nutrients and also stops alot of toxins getting out
replace meat with healthy foods, grains, nuts, seed and eat lots of pulses/legumes for iron!.
Try to make sure you some raw foods with every meal!.

There are healthy vegetarian diets and unhealthy ones!. I once had a vegetarian boyfriend who lived largely off of chocolate donuts! If you are on a healthy vegetarian diet (high in greens, other veggies, and fruit, whole grains), then it is healthy for you!. BTW, some vegetarians cut out the meat but gorge on cheese!. Definitely not healthy!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
you need to take vitamins and you need to find proteins that you can eat!. you can lose hair and you skin can change,,,, you need to do researchWww@FoodAQ@Com

Going vegetarian isn't exactly the smartest thing to do for your body, though it does have some benefits concerning your weight and digestive system!.
You must take vitamins! I was vegan for about 3 months, and developed a serious iron deficiency!. I had to go on pills that restored what nutrients I lost while I was off meat!.
You probably look pale because of all the iron and protein loss!. Those nutrients keep you going during the day, and help you keep your strength up!. !.Www@FoodAQ@Com
