Okay, might want to calm things down here a little!. Soy, despite the hype in the press about it of late, is not some kind of poison!. It is just a food with certain nutrients!. Probably, like all foods, consuming too much at the expense of other foods, is not a good idea!. But there's no still serious or conclusive study that has demonstrated that it decreases life expectancy, or is a serious contributor to disease, despite many efforts to do so!. Bear in mind that communities around the world (and particularly the Far East) have eaten soy for millennia, and they're still here and thriving!.

I agree possibly that eating concentrated soy protein isolate frequently (which is in many processed foods), might not be like eating natural soy!. This type should be taken with some caution!. But writing off soy altogether, a food that has helped sustain people for generations, I'm not sure is warranted just yet!. Make sure of course that the soy you're consuming does not come from rainforest cleared lands, and is grown organically if possible, but don't feel too guilty otherwise about eating some!. There are, pretty conclusively, many worse foods out there than soy to be eating!.

While I don't believe that soy is in any way unhealthy, there's no reason why soy needs a "magic" food either!.
