Answers:
you will have to try them all to find which you prefer!. Main brands are Alpro & So Good and own brand supermarket!. There are also long life and refrigerated types!. They can be calcium and vitamin enriched but I haven't found any difference in taste from this compared to the big ones between brands and types!.

Personally i can't stand the unsweetened varieties, but my friend can't stand the sweetened ones!. I have tried oat and rice milk and find them too thin - just like water

I find So Good sweeter than Alpro, and the own brands a different kind of sweetness as they use sugar rather than fruit juice!.

My favourite is any of the long life alpro sweetened ones but then cow milk always smells like it has gone off to me

In the UK it is soya milk, in the USA, they lose the a!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I quite like soy milk!. The one i drink currently is Natura unsweetened!. They also make original, chocolate, vanilla and strawberry!. The brand i had before was Silk, it's also great!. both of these brands are organic and well as Earth Shake, Vitasoy and So Nice!. Vitasoy even comes out with a chocolate-peppermint one in winter!
As for soy alternatives, you can get rice milk, almond milk, oat milk and hemp milk!. Almond milk is probably my favourite out of these, but definitely try all of them and choose which one you like best!.
The goal here too is to try and balance out your diet: for example, if you eat a lot of soy products, don't choose soy milk; if you eat a lot of rice, don't choose rice milk etc!.

Most alternatives are vegan, but ALWAYS read the ingredients because you never know!.

My sister is vegan and i have tasted soy milk before and its not bad if you get the flavored ones like vanila and stuff!.

Soy milk is made by soaking soybeans, grinding them with water!. The fluid which results after straining is called soy milk!. You can make soy milk at home with basic kitchen tools or with a soy milk machine!. Soy milk is most commonly found in aseptic cartons!. Most of the soy milk available in the market is flavoured and fortified with extra calcium or vitamins!. The most popular flavours are vanilla and chocolate!. Some producers add thickeners to their soy milk to give it a mouth feel of cow's milk!. Traditionally, soy milk has a beany taste which is well accepted by the Chinese, but less by the Western palate!. By using correct processing techniques, this beany taste can be reduced or eliminated!. Recently, with the recognition of its health benefits and with its improved flavor and texture, soy milk has now a high and rising acceptance!. Sometimes, use is made of protein isolates from soy bean which are mixed with water, oils, sugars, stabilisers to give it a milky appearance!. This type of product should be described as soy drink and is not as wholesome as real soy milk!.

Nutritional values of soy milk
Plain soy milk is very nutritive: it's an excellent source of high quality proteins, isoflavones and B-vitamins!. Soy milk is free of the milk sugar (lactose) and is a good choice for people who are lactose intolerant!. also, it is a good alternative to those who are allergic the proteins of cow's milk!.

Making your own soy milk
In China and Japan fresh soy milk is made daily using a simple, centuries-old process of grinding soaked soybeans and pressing the soy milk out of the beans!. There, soy milk is sold by street vendors or in cafes!. Soy milk is served hot or cold and is often flavored with soy sauce and vegetables to produce a spicy soup!.

Many people find the cost of commercial soymilk to be prohibitive and make soy milk at home!. They soak and crush soy beans and filter the liquid, which is soy milk!. Some have invested in a soy milk machine that cooks and grinds the soy beans and makes soy milk, fresh in your own home!. There are different brands of soy milk machines on the market (Miracle Soy Wonder, SoyJoy Automatic Soy Milk Maker, SoyToy Soy Milk Machine, Soyapower)!. You don't need these machines to make good quality soy milk, but they make life easier and give a high yield!.

Soy milk is different from regular milk in that it is derived from plants!. It is created by soaking soybeans, and then grinding the beans and the water together!. It can be purchased from stores or made at home with the help of a soy milk machine!. Regular milk, on the other hand, is extruded from the udders of animals, with cows being the most common animal used!. Since soy milk is made from plants, it is safe for individuals who are lactose intolerant!.

Soy milk and regular milk are both good sources of protein, with both providing equivalent portions!. Soy milk does not, however%Www@FoodAQ@Com

soya milk takes some time to get used to due to the taste but if you mix it with sweet cereal it is easier to get down!. THey have soya milk with chocolate and vanilla too now!. If its vegan!? Soya milk is just made from pressed beans so I guess so!.
Rice milk, I think tastes worse than soya milk!. However you can make this indian drink from it!. Add some Sugar and cinnamon, some ice cubes and stir!. They drink this in Mexico and Middle East apparently too!. Try it!. What you got to loose!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

soy milk is a bit sweet and sour not my thing really!
but mine and your taste buds are not the same!:>

It's not my favourite thing, I have to be honest (I find it doesn't quench a thirst in the same way that cold cow's milk does)!. But try some different varieties - I think fresh soya milk from the chiller cabinet tastes much better than UHT soya milk!. There are other vegan alternatives such as rice milk and oat milk!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I really like the soy milk especially the chocolate and strawberry flavor!. But that is my opinion, you'll never know if you like it till you try it!. Good Luck on going vegan :)
Vegetarian for 4 years now and damn proud :)Www@FoodAQ@Com

it really depends on what brand you buy because when i buy the alpro soya milk it actually tastes disgusting but then i tried finding a better brand and came across to sainsburys soya milk sweetened and it actually just tastes like real milkWww@FoodAQ@Com

I don't like plain soy milk, I think it tastes like cardboard!. The chocolate soy milk is nice!. I love soy yogurt, which tastes really nice!. Rice milk is really nice, I think it's sweet!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I don't like the taste of Soya milk!. But I do like the flavoured Soya milk!. You would be best to try it as the texture is completely different to cows milk and you may not like the texture!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Don't know of soya milk but soy milk is pretty good and fairly nutritious!. And honestly, don't go vegan, it's bad for your health whether you believe it or not!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I love soy milk, personally!.!.!. but if you're watching your calories, make sure you read the back!. That stuff can be seriously fattening!. Otherwise, you need to choose a brand for yourself!.

Good luck!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Never tried it plus i don't have to if i wanted because i luckily don't suffer from milk allergies or am lactose intolerant!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

If you mean soy milk, it's pretty good!. I prefer it over skim milk!. To me, skim milk is watered down!. I have never had rice milk so I can give my opinion on that!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

I'm not vegan but I enjoy soya milk!. They make it with different flavours and sweetened so it can taste real good!.
As an alternative you could also try oat milk or rice milk which are also nice!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
