It's easier to tell you what you CAN'T eat: animal flesh, soups and broths made with animal parts (such as chicken soup--duh), gelatin, and cheese made with rennet!. Rennet is a coagulating salt made from the fourth stomachs of slaughtered veal calves!. Make sure your cheese has vegetable or microbial rennet instead!. I believe, but am not sure, that cheese labeled Kosher will be free of animal rennet!. I hardly need to mention that you should read labels when you buy food and eat as little processed food as possible!. It also means asking questions in restaurants to ensure your "vegetable" soup isn't made with meat stock!. Most French Onion soups in restaurants, by the way, are made with beef broth!.

A vegetarian can eat anything accept meat!. However if you are a veggie, you need to get protein through nuts, tofu (yummy in soups!.!.!.try meatless minstrone and lentil!), and all that good stuff!.!.!.Try to take a multivitamin as well, that will give you your B12, and most people should probably be taking them anyways!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
