I am vegan. Why am I still hungry?!
I have been vegan for about 1 year!. I eat three times a day and about 1-2 hours after I eat I am still really hungry even though my belly is really really full!. If I could metaphoically relate the hunger to a feeling I would say its like being addicted to cigarettes and just smoking ones with out the nicotine!. Heres a list of what I eat in the day:
Breakfast: Banana pancakes with walnuts, peanutbutter, and maple syrup!. A glass of juice, or soya milk!.
Snack: Fruit, or a meatless product!.
Lunch: Quesadilla with red beans, seasoned brown rice, and corn!. A soda for a drink!. This quesadilla is by no means small!. Contrary, its HUGE and even after I eat it I feel really really hungry even just after I eat it!.
Snack: Bagel with one avacado and salt/pepper
Evening meal: Whole wheat pasta with a smooth red sauce and pinto beans!. Drink, lots of water!. I eat 1 cup of dry pasta here!. I soak dry beans overnight and cook them!.
I drink a lot of water during the day too!. Anyone know what is up!? I have had bloodwork done at my family doc!. I am fine on protien, vitamins, iron and such!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

You have to bear in mind that plant food is less dense in nutrients than animal food!. So you have to eat a lot more bulk!. Many people simply don't have the stomach capacity to comfortably eat enough plant food in three meals a day to get sufficient nutrition!. Try eating five or six meals!. Another way is to fill your pockets with nuts, dried fruit, etc!., and nibble it all day long between meals!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Well, could your salt intake be so high that you are mistaking thirst for hunger!? I am not vegan!. I get sick when I try to be!. But when I eat lentils and rice (my absolute tiptop #1 favorite food of all time!) I end up feeling hungry all the time no matter how much I eat of it, and I poop all the time all day all night!. So, maybe the more you poop the more hungry you feel all the time!? That is the only thing I can think of!.!.!. Www@FoodAQ@Com
just try a steak already, i dont see what harm could be done, its not like the national society of vegans is going to revoke your membership and bann you for life from all things vegan

Blood work!? how bout diabete's!? You do seem to be getting some protein without me suggesting a steak! :) Maybe a belly scan!? Something doesn/t seem right!. I wish I could eat your diet, minus the beans!. The water thing is a red flag to doctors though, that's why they should test you for diabete's first!. Hope things go well!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
NOT A GOOD IDEA TO BE A VEGAN my aunt almost got cancer in the blood for not eating red meat and that came from the doctor himself, you can lose alot of white blood cells that you mostly get from red meat!. You might want to think twice in being a vegan!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
I think the reason for your hunger is simple, you aren't eating enough wholesome carrots!. You should enjoy them more often!. They are good and good for you!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
you have me stumped!.!. im a vegitarian i have the same problem sometimes!.!. but i figure thats lack of something!.!. maybe you could try a protein shake!.!.!. something like boost or miloplax liteWww@FoodAQ@Com

try brushing ur teeth after each meal or snack u have -
that would help a lot- trust me! I kinda have the same problem-
also if ur really hungry try carrots or grapefruit!!
