Answers:
If you still want to eat chicken and fish its fine its still vegetarian and if you do eat it its called a pollo-vegetarian, thats wat i am lol =)

and dont listen to those other people who jus put u down coz like they know anything lolWww@FoodAQ@Com

Vegetarians do not eat the flesh of any animal, and this includes fishes and chickens!. If you wish to be a vegetarian, you should also watch out for gelatin, which is made from the bones, tendons, and hides of slaughtered animals!.

Vegetarians do, however, consume dairy products and eggs!.

Vegans avoid all animal products, and this extends beyond diet into lifestyle!. If someone only does the diet part--consumes no animal-based foods--but doesn't extend it to his/her lifestyle, that person is a strict vegetarian!.

There is no such thing as "semi-vegetarian!." The term "flexitarian" was invented to describe people who either cut out some types of animal foods or eat animal foods occasionally!. "Pescatarian" was invented to describe people who eat no flesh but fish!. But these people are not vegetarians by any stretch of the imagination!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

No vegetarians don't eat any fish, chicken or meat!. Although they do eat eggs cheese and drink milk if they want to!. They don't want to kill animals, but like to eat their products!.

A health conscious person eats only fish and chicken plus /vege/cereals!. They can also be called semi-vege!. They consider themselves almost vegetarian!.

A vegan eats no animal products at all, because they don't agree with the exploitation of animals and their products!. They don't use leather for shoes, handbags, coats, etc!.

There isn't a set way for each and every vegetarian!.

You can be classified by many different extremes of vegetarianisms!.
From 'semi vegetarian' (which means that you either eat some meat occasionally, but very rarely, or that you only eat certain types!. such as only a small amount of beef, but nothing else)
Through lacto-ovo vegetarians,
pesco vegetarian
or vegan

I think most vegetarians still eat fish because taking fish-oil capsules means consuming gelatine (animal bones)!.
Not eating dairy, eggs and/or fish seems to be more accepted as veganism!.

So do what you feel comfortable with!. And know why your doing it!. if your doing it because you feel bad for eating another organism, maybe look at free range, and humanely killed animals!.
If its because you don't like the taste of meat, just make sure your getting sufficient nutrients from the rest of your food!.
Beans, lentils and peas are very good for protein, iron, broccoli and brussel sprouts for iron, etc!.

If you look up nutrients of vegetables on google, you can find out how much is contained in each serve, so that you can make sure your getting exactly the right amount of each nutrient for your size!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

The word 'vegetarian' used to mean what strict-vegetarian or vegan means now - no meat or animal products in your diet and in your lifestyle!.

It's been watered down enough already, first just no meat and now that includes fish and even chicken!. They're all animals, they're all just alive as human animals, they all think and feel and value their own lives!.!.!. whenever you eat meat or animal products you are denying animals their very birth rights!. If you want to cut down on animal products, that's great, please keep in mind the goal of not exploiting animals at all, however!. And please do not water down the term 'vegetarian' any more like so many other people are doing to promote their own ego!!Www@FoodAQ@Com

I'm a veggie and the only 'meat I eat is fish!. I do not understand those that eat chicken and call themselves vegetarians, to me the definition is wrong!.

I know it may still be hypocritical to eat fish but I think the techniques used in rearing is more humane than the methods in keeping chickens or other live stock!. If you feel the need to eat chicken then make sure you buy free range or organic!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

You were told wrong, sorry but the

Definition for:

"Veg·e·tar·i·an" is-

1!. a person who does not eat or does not believe in eating meat, fish, fowl, or, in some cases, any food derived from animals, as eggs or cheese, but subsists on vegetables, fruits, nuts, grain, etc!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

No, vegetarians, by definition, don't eat any dead animal!. Not even fish!. If you dont eat meat but do it fish, you're a pescetarian, not a vegetarian!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Yes!. Some vegetarians eat fish they are called pescetarians!. The vegetarians that eat chicken are called pollatarians!. The people that eat fish and chicken are called pollo-pescetarians!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I think there are no stricked laws about this stuff!.Chill out about it all!
When people say to me 'Oh, you cannot eat that, can you!?' I say yes I can eat anything I want to,I just choose not to!Www@FoodAQ@Com

NO, vegetarians do not eat fish or chicken!

however they do drink milk and eat cheese, if you don't consume dairy products as well as meat then you are a vegan!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I don't eat any meat or fish!. I am a vegetarian because I hate the taste of meatWww@FoodAQ@Com

Knowing the basic "rights"!.!.!."Ana"!

The word "vegetarian" is a generic blanket term used to describe anybody who does not eat meat, poultry, fish, or seafood!. This encompasses vegans and also the various vegetarian sub-groups!. Vegetarians are generally those people who have chosen a diet with far less restrictions than those chosen by a vegan!.
The differences between the various vegetarian sub-groups may appear to be small, but they are very important to the members who belong to each groups!. In many cases the distinctions are important dietary or ethical decisions taken by the individual!.

Here are the various vegetarian sub-groups:

SEMI-VEGETARIAN
===================================
Semi-vegetarians are people who have chosen to live a lifestyle which is not strictly vegetarian!. A semi-vegetarian may be a person who only eats meat occasionally, or perhaps doesn’t eat meat, but eats poultry and fish!.

1) Ovo-Lacto-Vegetarian
--------------------------------------!.!.!.
Ovo-lacto vegetarians are vegetarians who do not eat meat, poultry, fish, and seafood, but do eat eggs and milk!. This is by far the largest group of vegetarians!.

2) Ovo-Vegetarian
--------------------------------------!.!.!.
Ovo-vegetarians are people who would be classed as vegans if they did not eat eggs!.

3) Lacto-Vegetarian
--------------------------------------!.!.!.
Lacto-vegetarians are people who would be classed as vegans if they did not consume milk!.

VEGAN
======================================!.!.!.
This is by far the strictest vegetarian sub-group or category!.
A vegan is a person who has chosen not to consume any animal products or byproducts!. Some will even so far as not consuming honey and yeast, and others will not wear any clothing made from animal products!. Veganism is a diet and lifestyle that seeks to exclude the use of animals for food, clothing, or any other purpose!. Vegans endeavor not to use or consume animal products of any kind!. The most common reasons for becoming a vegan are ethical commitment or moral convictions concerning animal rights, the environment, human health, and spiritual or religious concerns!. Of particular concern are the practices involved in factory farming and animal testing, and the intensive use of land and other resources required for animal farming!. Veganism never stops at eating habit alone, but continuous "journey" beyond!Www@FoodAQ@Com
