Answers:
you need to do some research and start cooking at home!.!.!.!. you need to have a menu and stick to it!. that is the only way to ensure you dont eat junk food and maintain a good healthy diet!. be organised and stock up your kitchen and fridge / freezer with the right stuff and you will never run out of ideas for healthy recipes!.

there are thousands of veggie recipes that are delightful and easy to make and lots and lots of books and website absolutely bursting with veg recipes for you to try out!. and very healthy too !

my advise would be that you buy a few books or print out a few recipes from the websites I give you - then every weekend you pick out 7 recipes that you are going to have for dinner, note down the ingredients and that way you have all the ingredients ready for the rest of the week !!

here are some GREAT recipes I would recommend (so get printing, get shopping and get cooking !!!)

you can go to bbc!.co!.uk/food and search for recipes using names such as 'aubergine', 'lentil', 'vegetable' and you will be able to find a lot of stuff!.

also when you are out in the supermarket, stock up on vegetables when they are cheap, then wash them, chop them and store them in the freezer!. i always have frozen cauliflower, courgettes, brocolli, green beans, sugar snaps stored in the freezer so i can cook up a quick vegetable rice or stir fry and noodles if I dont have much time

good luck - hope you love all the cooking and trying new stuff !! Www@FoodAQ@Com

The problem here is not your vegetarianism, but the rest of your diet; like you said, you didn't eat healthily when you ate meat, as if you had have done, all that would've changed would be replacing the meat with a vegetarian alternative!.

So, the first step is to eat a healthy, balanced diet - the right amounts of carbohydrates, proteins and fats, as well as at least five portions of fruit and veg a day!. A simple, healthy vegetarian meal would be two types of vegetables, perhaps some potatoes and a meat substitute, eg!. Quorn!. Look to an average, healthy diet, and the only thing you need to change is the meat :)

Hope this helpsWww@FoodAQ@Com

Eat legumes for protein, whole grains, veggies, fruit,

If you are not a vegan try eggs, cheese, cottage cheese, soy, milk, soy milk, yogurt, soy yogurt, etc

Just stay with unsweetened and light too much sugar isn't a good thing!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Start cooking! Get a good cookbook, like "Vegetarian Cooking for Everyone" by Deborah Madison and avoid the processed foods!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Pizza and fast food are no good for vegetarians - full of animal fat!.
You need fruit and vegetables, nuts , seeds, grains, soya!. etc!.
