Is cilantro typically sold as organic at the typical supermarket?!
I've been reading up on the dangerous levels of pesticide in many of our foods!. I eat lots of food containing fresh cilantros, but I'm worried if I should be buying them organic!. Don't stores usually sell them organic, live avocados!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Most super markets have an organic section in their produce area!. Look there for cilantro and also look for the USDA organic seal on the tag!. If it does not have the USDA organic seal it is not certified organic!. you should never find organic produce mixed with not organic produce as that is in violation of the USDA organic regulations!.
I know the tiny Kroger's in my podunk town in rural Ohio carries organic cilantro so there should be no problem finding it at any major grocery chain in a more urban area!. You can also look at farmers markets, Whole Foods, Trader Joe's or your local health food store
All hat said i grow a lot of cilantro organically for the local farmers markets and have never needed to use chemicals on it as it has no pest or disease problems so i suspect the cilantro grown on the big commercial farms in cali and Arizona also do not use much in the way of poisons on their cilantro (chemicals are expensive and profit margins very very narrow in the farming game so if a farmer does not need to use a chemical they will not in order to save a bit of money) so of all the produce choices out there, cilantro likely has some of the smallest amounts of poisons on it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

No, I have never seen organic cilantro at any of the common grocery stores (and I buy it all the time for cooking) -- it's not a popular enough produce item for them to stock it!. You might be able to get it from Whole Foods or another specialty store that focuses on organic produce, but not the standard grocery store!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
The supermarkets in my area all sell both cilantro and avocados, and I think you can get either in "organic" form!. But I don't subscribe to that particular scam, so I can't tell for sure!.
However, the avocados I buy all seem to be dead!. At least they don't squirm when I mash them with the cilantro and other things to make guacamole!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

If it doesn't say organic on it, it isn't and you have to assume the worst!. If your organic section in your store doesn't have it, ask the grocery guy to order it for you!. Www@FoodAQ@Com
no!. I worked for two years as a vegan/organic chef!. In a super market it WILL be labeled as organic there are laws and regulations helping organic customers stay organic!. Its always good to double check thoughWww@FoodAQ@Com
Not around here, but I live in the rural midwest and shop at a small grocery store, so it's hard to get much more than the very basics organic!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
