Is it true that PETA asked Ben & Jerry's ice cream to use human breast milk instead of cow's milk?!
I heard this (it was a news blurb) on a talk radio station!. Is it true!? I've been looking around (google, peta!.org, etc) but I can't find anything indicating its trueness or falseness!. Is it true!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Appears to be true!. Follow the link for the press release!.
They claim a Swiss restaurant (Storchen) has decided to use human breast milk in its menus, so B&J's should follow suit!.
IMO, PETA's credibility has finally reached zero!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Very true!. Once again PETA is off their freaking rocker!. All mammals who lactate, lactate in response to pregnancy and giving birth!. This is one ISOLATED case, just how is Ben and Jerry's supposed to get all the milk they would need to maintain their productivity!? Seriously though, said donors have to go through a lot more to stimulate lactation when the needed hormones aren't present in their bodies already!.
Let's be real if B&J did this they would go belly up!. Thankfully they have enough brains to tell PETA to shove off very politely!. B&J diary cows are first off some of the most well treated non hormone fed dairy cattle used today to produce their products!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

My guess is that it's false, and a shock jock was making a joke!. There's no way they would ever find enough nursing women to express enough breast milk to make this even remotely viable!. I could see PETA asking them to make ice cream with soy milk or almond milk, however!. There's a soy dairy at The Farm in Summertown, TN that makes excellent soy ice cream!. Best I've ever had!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Weird! Umm, drinking cows milk is gross in theory, but so is drinking human milk! I hope peta wasn't serious about that!. Way to alienate people, peta!. Www@FoodAQ@Com
i think they were just trying to be ironic!. They just wanted to point out how we're the only species that drink another species milk!. Www@FoodAQ@Com
probably not!. its basically impossible!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Hmmm!. A good dairy cow can produce upward of 40 lbs of milk a day!. It would take a lot of women to match that!Www@FoodAQ@Com
LOL!.!.I see it's true!. Ahhhh, when does PETA NOT embarrass themselves!?Www@FoodAQ@Com
lol!.!.!.they have better alternatives to cow milk that are not human milk!.!.!.!.that's grossWww@FoodAQ@Com
Yes, they are beyond absurd!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
