99% of the time the only issue I ever have is the social part!. Too many people are uneducated about food and they can be judgmental!. My family for example, still doesn't accept or respect my choice even after I have been vegetarian for 15 years!. They think it's deviant and immoral and unhealthy!. also we veggies have to deal with hearing things like "you know a plant had to die to feed you" and other annoying comments!. When I was younger people used to put hamburgers up in my face like!.!.!.I don't know what point they were trying to make but yeah!. Being a vegetarian or a vegan you quickly learn how many dumb people exist, at least when it comes to food!.

I honestly don't have problems ordering food in restaurants like some people seem to!. All restaurants seem to have some sides or salads without meat or some entrees they can leave the meat out of!. Sometimes I look in the burger section for the tiny print that says "black bean burger can be substituted upon request" or something to that effect and it's there about 50% of the time!.

As for my health, I'm pretty well off and it might have something to do with how I eat!. I only have to put minimal effort into staying in shape!. I don't get sick very much, and only if I am around people who are sick!. I was in the Army for 3 years and didn't eat any meat the whole time and I could still do my job and all the physical stuff just fine!.

I'm vegetarian by the way!. I eat dairy and eggs, but very little!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Health- if you're lazy you can have issues with your needed vitamins because its not that easy to just pick up anything, pop it in the microwave and get a nutritious meat free meal, but again it's actually not that hard to get the vitamins you need!. B12 can be an issue though, but you can get veg"n vitamins!.

Social life- People get very judgemental, they start to assume because you don't eat meat, you're a complete angel the "good girl/boy"!. You also get insults from people who think you're ignorant, as they are as well!. You get comments all the time of stupid things people think are funny!. " Can you eat animal crackers!?" ( sure it may of been funny the first time it was said!.!.!. years ago!.)
And you'll get asked a lot why you made the decision, so It's best to know you feel strongly with your beliefs!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

im vegetarian and i would say the only hard thing is that inconvenience sometimes!. lots of restaurants don't have many meatless options and if you are invited to a persons house and they are serving meat it kinda sucks, but overall its so good for you and i would definitely recommend it
as far as vegan goes i would say its the same as vegetarian but more difficult as far as finding food in restaurants go, plus it is generally more expensive while vegetarianism tends to be cheaperWww@FoodAQ@Com

im a balanced eater, and i think the disadvantagis of being vegan/vegetarian is-

1!. its hard to find vegetarian freindly food when your not at your house
2!. you dont get all the nutrients your supposed to be getting without pills, like calcium and protein
3!. meat extremists may make fun of you
4!. being on a strict diet is costlier then being flexible in what you can eatWww@FoodAQ@Com

according to me, there is no any disadvantages of being vegeterian!.
the protiens carbohydrates fats that you get from the non veg foods can be also obtained from natural i!.e!. veg foods!.
according to researches, when you eat non veg food, the violence of that animal enter into your body
so i personally requests all the non vegeterians to be VEGETERIANS!.
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

The inconveniences pretty much!.
Like grilling out!.!.!.I have to make my own "burger" a head of time or buy mine separate!.!.!.then grill separately!.!.!.meat or traces of meat cannot touch my food!. Then having to explain why I do this to whoever passes by and sees my craziness!.

I can't "just eat out" somewhere!. I can't relax and "not think" when someone else is going to be making my food!. I have to inspect everything that has been made for me and ask questions so I don't wind up eating meat or anything else I choose to keep out of my diet!.

I have to prepare my food separate from everyone else's!.!.!.which means making two times the food!.!.!.two times the mess and so on!.

Social
Having to explain my diet and the reasons for it (because they asked why am I a vegetarian) and then that person arguing with me because "they think" it's stupid or whatnot!. That has happened many times!. So many people ask what made you become a vegetarian and then criticize you for just answering the question!. No one said they had to agree!.

No desire!.!.!.!.I have no desire to eat meat at all if that's what you mean!. Before I "quit" meat I did a test!. I made the kind I liked most!.!.!.just the way I liked it!.!.!.and I tried to eat it!.!.but couldn't!. That was the end!.!.!.!.I honestly have no desire to eat any kind of meat!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

you body could be robbed of certain things you need!. but they can be replaced with vitamins of that substance!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Umm, you don't get to eat bacon either way!. That's the disadvantage I see!. Why would you want to endure that pain!?Www@FoodAQ@Com
