just wondering if anyone would kill an animal if they were starving!?

I did once!. My dad took me hunting and I shot a squirrel, I felt so bad afterwards that I vowed to never hunt again or kill another living thing!. I have a really hard time even killing bugs!.
I'm not a vegetarian, but I am anti hunting!. Some reasons are: Hunters usually brag about blowing the animals brains out (in my experience), animals existed long before us and our guns and their populations were just fine, nature takes care of itself!.
I could never work in a place where animals are harmed!. I really hope for a day where we can have meat without killing an animal!. With our technology, it may happen!.

yes, if by starving you mean actually starving to death and not just "by jove, i'm starving tonight!." although i don't actually see a problem with going out and killing a wild animal, more the whole raising for slaughter and profit scenario doesn't sit well with me!.

Yes, of course I could!. I have killed and eaten rabbits for example, and fish!. And swatted countless flies and insects!.

I work on an organic farm that raises free range chickens, cattle, turkeys and pigs!. Every fall I help with the chicken butchering!. The process is very quick humane and is done outdoors!. The birds do not even realize what is going on because they are taken one by one from where they live and are dispatched and cleaned away from the rest of the flock!. I am not a bloodthirsty manic!. I was a vegetarian until I found this farm and a couple others in my area where I could see my food before it came to my table!. It is very reassuring to know where your food comes from and how it gets there!. I do not eat conventional meat, or produce for that matter, because of how it is produced!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I find them to be too smelly and the work is way too hard for the small wages they offer!.

I don't believe that anyone who couldn't kill an animal should eat meat!.
I have no problems with killing an animal quickly and humanely, what I do get p****d off about is if any of the animals I've killed gets wasted!. For example, fish that gets bad when left in freezer for too long!.
I have worked as a slaughterman, but its a nasty job and thats why I no longer eat mass produced meat!. I think its a disrespectful, cruel way to treat beautiful things!.

Yes!. My family's summer home was on a lake surrounded by farmland when I was young and I spent a lot of time there, "helping out"!.

I would be able to if I was hungry!. Animals are raised as livestock, they don't know their fate, they just know to eat when they are hungry, sleep when they are tired, and reproduce when the female is in heat!. They don't have feelings that they know about or their future!.
The beef I get comes from a farmer friend of mine, he raises his cattle in a pasteur and does not give them fattening chemicals or antibiotics!. I have no problem with it, that's the animal's destiny just as all animals have a destiny, they are born and they die, just like us and all have a special purpose to their/our life!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

i am not a vegetarian, i might be different i us to kill animals like rabbit, chicken goat and knew colleagues or villages that kill dog and snake for food where i grow up!. it a normal stuff to do!. for example meats (pork beef etc ) that one find in super market and local market came form killing animals!. there is not about that!.

I think you are lucky to live in this modern age, where you can find replacements for meat in the shops!. Had it been a couple of thousand (even hundreds) years ago, you would have starved to death or died of malnutrition!.

Yes I could and will!. When I slaughter cattle it is done the kosher way!. One clean slice to the jugular veins, trachea, esophogus, and etc!. I would rather I slaughter my cattle than send them to a slaughter house to be electrocuted and beaten over the head!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
